Could we potentially be hearing Maddie Han ask "911, what's your emergency?" on High Potential sometime in the future? If it's up to Jennifer Love Hewitt, that's exactly what will be happening. No stranger to pitching ideas for amazing crossovers, the 911 star revealed her idea for the two ABC hit series to cross over, and we have to say, her campaign sounds like a slam dunk.

Catching up with Entertainment Tonight during an event for ABC and Hulu, Hewitt revealed that she's a huge fan of fellow ABC series High Potential, which returns for season 2 on Sept. 16. The interviewer shared that she previously spoke with the cast of the police procedural and they were "game" for a crossover. Hewitt responded with utter excitement: "Are they?! Great news!"

She then continued and gave her elevator pitch for a two-episode crossover event: "Well, so [Morgan's] oftentimes talking to dispatch, so I feel like there should be a case where she needs my help so she comes to my dispatch center to talk about it. Maybe I don't have all the information, and then I go to their police station to say, 'I've got your information,' so you get, like, a double episode vibe. Right? I think it would be great."

While Hewitt didn't offer any exact storyline ideas, she did give a solid foundation for the idea that will hopefully be heard by fans and taken up the flagpole. As a seasoned writer, producer, and director (though not on 911), her talents far extend past acting. (And don't forget that she's also a singer!) We shouldn't be surprised that after being in the 911 world since season 2, her creativity gets sparked.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has proven in the past that she has incredible ideas for 911 crossover episodes. After all, it was her idea for the first responder series to feature a call at The Bachelor mansion right after the series made the leap from Fox to ABC. Being a reality TV show fan and knowing that her series would be on the same network, Hewitt knew the crossover needed to happen.

Tim Minear, the showrunner of 911, revealed that Hewitt pitched the now iconic 911 season 7 crossover episode with The Bachelor after attending a season finale of the long-running dating competition series. Since that episode was such a success, let's hope that the powers that be at 911, High Potential, and ABC are all willing to listen to Hewitt once again.

More than likely, ABC's priority this coming season will be establishing a connection between 911 and its new spinoff 911: Nashville, and a crossover between the two has already been teased. Nothing has been confirmed as far as a crossover goes, but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility... even though the flagship takes place in Los Angeles and the new spinoff in Tennessee.

911 and High Potential both taking place in Los Angeles allows for a much easier connective tissue for a crossover though they aren't featured in the same franchise or share the same executive producers. Stranger things have happened with crossovers, so we shouldn't write this one off just yet. More than anything, it's fun to dream about. Hewitt is cooking, and ABC should listen!

High Potential season 2 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16 on ABC. 911 season 9 premieres Thursday, Oct. 9 on ABC. Both series are available to stream on Hulu.
