ABC Fall 2025 premiere dates schedule

ABC's fall season begins on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025 with the premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 34 at 8 p.m., which leads into the highly anticipated return of last season's breakout out hit procedural dramedy High Potential. The second season of Kaitlin Olson's hit series immediately follows DWTS and marks the first scripted ABC premiere of the 2025-2025 season.

The bulk of ABC's fall slate kicks off in October, with comedies Shifting Gears and Abbott Elementary leading the pack at the top of the month and the beloved Thursday night block that includes 911, new spinoff 911: Nashville, and Grey's Anatomy brings the drama one week later. Take a closer look at the ABC premiere dates calendar below for all of the dates and times:

Keep in mind that new episodes of ABC's scripted programming are available to stream on Hulu the next day. If you aren't able to watch the episodes as soon as they air on ABC, whether on basic cable or with a digital live television subscription like Fubo or YouTube TV, then you will be able to watch the episodes beginning the following morning on Hulu or Disney+ with a bundle subscription.

While looking over ABC's Fall 2025 lineup, you will notice hit shows like The Rookie, Will Trent, and the new Scrubs reboot series are missing. That's because the network's holding those three shows as well as new seasons of American Idol, The Bachelor, and Celebrity Jeopardy! for midseason. We likely won't see new episodes until 2026, but hopefully we will have premiere dates before the new year.

ABC will only be launching one new show this fall, and that's the new 911 spinoff series 911: Nashville. The spinoff stars Chris O'Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. The series takes over the timeslot that was held last fall by Ryan Murphy's medical drama Doctor Odyssey, which was unfortunately canceled after only one season.
