In addition, it will be available to stream on Hulu the following day. The first episode of 911: Nashville season 1 was initially scheduled to air on Oct. 16, but it was moved up by a week by ABC.

Note: The cast and crew officially start filming the first season in June 2025.

When is 911: Nashville on?

Let's say you watch the first episode of 911: Nashville season 1, and are curious about when new episodes will air. Well, we've got you covered! A new episode will air every Thursday night at 9/8c on ABC. This is the exact same day of the week and time as the series premiere, so you can count on a consistent weekly schedule. Plus, if you happen to miss an episode, you’ll be able to catch up on Hulu shortly after each broadcast. No need to worry about falling behind on all the action and drama!

What is 911: Nashville about?

Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani are the creative geniuses behind this new spinoff. It's very similar to the original series. The main difference is where it's set. While 911 takes place in Los Angeles, we're taken to the vibrant and culturally rich city of Nashville, Tennessee for 911: Nashville. But what makes it similar to 911 is that it follows a bunch of first responders as they face life-or-death situations every day while on the job.

However, 911: Nashville will mainly center on a character by the name of Captain Don Hart. Don is a dedicated and seasoned firefighter and former rodeo rider. He’s in charge of Nashville’s busiest firehouse and works alongside his son, who is part of the team. The character is portrayed as a loving husband and family man, but he also has some hidden secrets that will likely add mystery and drama to the show.

Who is in the 911: Nashville season 1 cast?

After providing you with what the show is about, you're probably really curious to find out who's in the cast. Well, you're going to be one happy person if you're a fan of shows like Grey's Anatomy and NCIS. 911: Nashville features a star-studded lineup, including familiar faces from those hit series as well as others.

Chris O'Donnell, who is best known for his role as Special Agent G. Callen on NCIS: Los Angeles and as Dr. Finn "McVet" Dandridge on Grey's Anatomy, takes on the lead role of Captain Don Hart. He's joined in the 911: Nashville cast by Jessica Capshaw. Grey's fans will remember this talented actress from her long-running role as Dr. Arizona Robbins. She plays the character, Blythe Hart, Don's wife. Blythe is also in the horse racing industry.

Then, there's Michael Provost (The Sex Lives of College Girls, Insatiable) portraying the role of Ryan Hart, Don and Blythe's son, who is a firefighter just like his dad.

Is there a 911: Nashville season 1 trailer?

Sadly, there isn’t an official trailer for 911: Nashville season 1 just yet. But with the premiere date inching closer, it's only a matter of time before ABC drops it. The good news is that the network has at least dropped a couple of teasers. The first one was an animated teaser released back in June 2025. Another teaser was released in September, and it displays what looks to be the first disaster the Nashville crew will have to tackle. It also gives us a first look at the cast in action.

How many 911 spinoffs are there?

The franchise started with 911, which was created by Murphy, Minear, and Brad Falchuk. Due to its massive success, the show quickly became a fan favorite and paved the way for two spinoffs. They are 911: Lone Star and 911: Nashville. Murphy, Minear, and Falchuk created Lone Star as well.

While 911 is still ongoing with its ninth season coming this fall, Lone Star ended its run with its fifth season back in February 2025. The procedural drama starred gifted actors such as Rob Lowe, Liv Tyler, Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McClain, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, and Gina Torres.

Now, all we have left is the original series and Nashville. That's why everyone's so excited. We needed something new to fill the Lone Star-shaped hole, and Nashville is stepping in at just the right time. Hopefully, more spinoffs are ordered in the future!

Where can you watch 911 and 911: Lone Star?

If you want to go back and watch old episodes of 911 and 911: Lone Star, you can do so through Hulu. However, it’s worth noting that you’ll need a subscription to access these shows on the streaming platform.

Could there be any crossovers in 911: Nashville season 1?

Of course, the question on everyone's mind is whether 911: Nashville will feature any epic crossovers with the original 911 series or perhaps even bring back familiar faces from 911: Lone Star. While nothing has been officially confirmed, the franchise is no stranger to weaving interconnected storylines and surprise guest appearances.

In a September 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Minear made it seem like a crossover between the original series and Nashville could be on the table. But then 911 star Oliver Stark seemed to shoot down the idea in another recent interview with TVLine, stating that the 911 crew hadn't shot any crossover episode with Nashville yet. So, it's not totally clear whether we’ll see the two shows collide soon. However, we're keeping our fingers crossed!
