October is almost here, and you know what that means. The rest of Fall TV is back, and we couldn’t be more excited. There are a bunch more shows arriving across the big networks, and you will not want to skip them.

CBS has its full lineup back, while ABC and NBC bring the rest of their lineups back. Of course, FOX continues with some great TV to check out each week. So, what should you make sure you watch live? We have the best TV shows coming in October across ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX.

This list is in release date order throughout October.

Chicago Fire

Of course, we start with Chicago Fire season 14. I know there are a lot of concerns with the loss of three characters, but this season is shaping up to be a fun one, thanks to the new arrival of Sal Vasquez. Brandon Larracuente’s character is going to have an arrogance to him that comes from his confidence and ability to do the job, but it’s going to lead to some interesting dynamics at Firehouse 51.

Meanwhile, we’ll get to see the aftermath of Herrmann choosing to demote himself, so that Mouch can be a lieutenant at Firehouse 51 since he didn’t want to be Chief. That leads to a test of their friendship, as Herrmann may have second thoughts about the decision.

Chicago Fire season 14 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 9/8c on NBC.

Doc

Next up is a show that already returned in September, but it’s not one to skip over. Doc season 2 continues to give us a look at how life can change when you lose your memories. In the Doc season 2 premiere, we got a fresh look at Amy’s personality change after the loss of her son, realizing that her cold bedside manner was actually a kindness.

However, now she desperately wants her memories back. With a new Chief of Surgery coming into the hospital, everything is going to be put to the test, and Amy could find her job on the line due to her treatments to get her memories back.

Doc airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on FOX.

911: Nashville

How about a new series to look forward to? If you want soapy drama, then there is one show worth checking out in October 2025. It’s all about 911: Nashville, which is the latest spinoff in the 911 universe. The promo is just out, and it tells us everything that we need to know about where the soapiness is coming from.

Yes, it turns out that Ryan and Blue are half-brothers, and it turns out that Ryan had no idea that his dad had a son with another woman. At least that’s the way the trailer makes it out to be. So, as the two half-brothers end up at the same firehouse, what does this mean for the family drama?

911: Nashville premieres on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9/8c on ABC.

GREY’S ANATOMY - “Love You Like a Love Song” - Jo and Link’s wedding day arrives, along with some visitors. Meanwhile, Teddy and Owen are met with a familiar face seeking treatment, and Lucas disagrees with Simone on how to approach a patient’s worsened condition. Grey’s Anatomy

We’ll stick with ABC for now, as Grey’s Anatomy is back, entering its 22nd season, and the premiere is set up to be a big one. At the end of season 21, there was an explosion in the hospital, and it looks like we could lose one of our own. Of course, the promo for Grey’s Anatomy season 22 is pushing hard that Link is going to die, but I don’t buy it just yet.

This season will also give us more of the Teddy/Owen drama, and this dumpster fire of a relationship is always fun to check out. On top of that, we’re sure to see Meredith and Amelia look for a way to keep their Alzheimer’s research going, especially considering Koracick is failing the majority of people who suffer from Alzheimer’s due to laziness.

Grey’s Anatomy season 22 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 10/9c on ABC.

Matlock

Thursdays are about to get a whole lot better, but to start off, we have to turn to a Sunday night! Matlock season 2 will return with a special premiere, before moving back to its regular slot. And this sophomore show is not one to skip over! It’s time to see the decision Olympia makes when it comes to Julian and that Wellbrexa study.

On top of that, with Matty’s secret out with Olympia, there’s a risk that others will learn the truth. It’s not like Matty doesn’t have enough to deal with, considering Alfie’s possible biological father is on the doorstep of the Kingstons.

Matlock season 2 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 12 before moving to Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.

A New Day
“A New Day” - After Jubal narrowly escapes a calculated assault on a secret FBI office, the team discovers an anti-government group has infiltrated the FBI. Unsure of who to trust, the team must work in the shadows to unmask the culprits threatening the sanctity of the New York field office, on the seventh season finale of FBI, Tuesday, May 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on

FBI

Let’s turn our attention to the only FBI show returning in Fall 2025. While two shows were canceled, the next spinoff is being held for midseason. That means all eyes are going to be on the New York Field Office and how they deal with the aftermath of the season 7 finale. Will Isobel make it through her medical emergency, or is everything in the team changing forever?

Jubal will see himself in a position of high authority, and it’s not the way he wanted it. This doesn’t mean Isobel is gone for good, but it certainly has us worried. Meanwhile, we may get to see Scola have a permanent new partner, although the shakeups have been good for him, and I would love to see Nina back for some time.

FBI season 8 premieres on Monday, Oct. 13 at 9/8c on CBS.

Ghosts

Finally, it’s all about the comedy, and there is one show I’m looking forward to returning the most. Yes, Ghosts season 5 comes back with a big question to answer: can Sam and the spirits save Jay from his deal with the devil?

On top of that, we get to see the aftermath of the kiss between Pete and Alberta, there’s a chance to see Sass deal with his girlfriend going away for periods of time, and Isaac will need to deal with the lie that he told Nigel. There’s plenty to look forward to, along with the hope of new characters and comedic drama at Woodstone Manor.

Ghosts season 5 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
