In 2025, Dr. Will Kirby enjoyed a renaissance on TV by appearing on several series, and he recently explained there are other shows he still hopes to appear on. Most recently, Dr. Will decided to appear on Celebrity Weakest Link for an episode of that game show that his fans really need to watch. While he has been spreading his television wings, there is still one show that he has never, and seemingly will never, turn his back on.
From the moment that Dr. Will made his first appearance on the CBS reality show Big Brother, he has always remained a staple of the beloved franchise. Since the reality show icon is such an entertaining and compelling TV star, it makes perfect sense that the team behind that show has brought him back over and over. Now, Dr. Will has exclusively explained to GeekSided why he has chosen to remain so loyal to Big Brother.

Dr. Will Kirby has remained loyal to Big Brother due to his immense respect for the show's producers
In July 2001, Dr. Will Kirby made his first appearance on Big Brother during the show's second season. After winning the extremely challenging reality show during his first appearance, Dr. Will popped up for an episode during the following season before competing as a part of, and almost winning Big Brother 7 (All-Stars). After taking a break from the show for several seasons, Dr. Will then returned during the 14th season and has been a staple of the franchise ever since.
In December 2025, GeekSided interviewed Dr. Will Kirby about his appearance on Celebrity Weakest Link. During that discussion, Dr. Will also talked about other aspects of his reality show legacy with the outlet. When his Big Brother legacy came up, Dr. Will brought up the show's producers, Rich Meehan, Allison Grodner, and Chris Roach. While talking about how long he has been part of Big Brother's history, Dr. Will explained that the show's bosses have been great to him, with a tone of pure appreciation in his voice.
“I've worked with the Big Brother producers for nearly 25 years, I've been on more than half the seasons… Rich Meehan, Allison Grodner, Chris Roach, those guys are always so good to me.”
While Dr. Will didn't explicitly state that he has continued to be linked to Big Brother because of the appreciation he has for the show's producers, his statement definitely seemed to communicate that. After all, the reality show icon spoke about Meehan, Grodner, and Roach with respect and like his relationships with them have been very important to him.

Dr. Will Kirby has been telling a story on Big Brother for 25 years
During his conversation with GeekSided, Dr. Will spoke about how a comment made by U2's Bono has long stuck with him. While talking about Bono reflecting on U2's hit song "One," Dr. Will explained that he remembers Bono expressing frustration that fans didn't appreciate the meaning of that song. Furthermore, Dr. Will recalled the singer explaining that he felt that if he publicly explained the song's meaning, that would take away from it. The reality show icon brought up Bono's comments before explaining the tantalizing fact that he has been dropping Easter eggs throughout his Big Brother career that tell a story that the show's fans haven't picked up on yet.
“I get a little bit frustrated at this point, 25 years in, that the fans haven't quite put all the Easter eggs together. During many seasons, little tiny things happen, and the fans complain because they don't understand. And no different than The Usual Suspects, there are little tiny Easter eggs that you have to go back and watch the seasons [to see].”
Dr. Will continued, "When you talk about things like the neighbor from COVID, or Mastermind from season 27, what I want to tell the fans is… There's a lot of Easter eggs and a lot of show left to be played. It's a slow burn. And for me, the seasons tie together. So just like the show Lost, or just like Stranger Things, you got to watch all the seasons, you may have to binge them and just start to put the little tiny pieces together.”
As Dr. Will talked about his Big Brother history, he explained that some aspects of the story he has been telling on the show over the years didn't even play out with him on camera. Based on his comments, it seems like Dr. Will's passion for continuing to be part of the Big Brother ecosystem may be influenced by his desire to keep dropping those Easter eggs. After all, Dr. Will told GeekSided that the story he has been telling isn't over yet.
“We're not to the end of that story yet. Other than soap operas, no one has ever told a story over 25 years or longer. So, tune in and keep watching because there's more to be revealed."
