We’ve watched two of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Dancing with the Stars, and now it’s time to see another one on a different ABC reality series. Taylor Frankie Paul will become the first Mormon Bachelorette looking for her man, but we still have a bit of time to wait for The Bachelorette season 22.
Taylor Paul is certainly a divisive figure on SLOMW, but not quite as divisive as others. Yes, we’re looking at you, Demi! That being said, Taylor has been a reality star in the middle of controversy and scandal, which is why Secret Lives of Mormon Wives even got started in the first place!
That isn’t stopping her from looking for love, and she’s doing it in the Bachelor Mansion. It’s time to get the details, because not only do we have a premiere date, but we also have a look at the men.
The Bachelorette season 22 premiere date
ABC has recently shared the premiere dates for various midseason ABC shows. This includes the likes of Will Trent season 4 and The Rookie season 8, with the majority of shows coming back in January.
We had hoped that would happen with The Bachelorette as well. January is usually held for the flagship series now, but things have started to shift as there have been some delays in renewing the show. With the delays in The Bachelorette, it’s also arguably delayed The Bachelor as well.
So, we hoped to see The Bachelorette step up in the January slot, but instead, it’s being held for the spring. Get March 22, 2026, in your diary to kick off what could end up being the most controversial and drama-filled season of the Bachelor Nation series.
Dakota is not one of the men on The Bachelorette
There were some concerns that Taylor’s ex-boyfriend (and father of her third child) would be one of the men in the series. That’s not the case at all, as all the men have been revealed by Us Weekly. Well, that is as long as there isn’t a surprise addition to the show — and we certainly hope there isn’t! You can take a look at the men, with one of them who does look a little like Dakota and already seems the favorite without knowing his personality.
Likewise, Tate Paul isn’t part of the series, and that’s not surprising at all. Tate and Taylor share two children together, and they were married from 2016 to 2022, divorcing before Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 1.
Taylor isn’t looking for a Mormon necessarily
As you’ll see from the men, they come from different faiths, and that’s okay for Taylor. While she is a practicing Mormon, she isn’t necessarily looking for a man to share the exact same faith as her. She would like someone who believes in God and faith, but not necessarily the same denomination of Christianity.
What is important is if the man is right for her children. She would like to listen to the men about their faiths, the way they will raise children, and what’s important to them on a moral level.
It’s certainly going to be an intriguing season, but will it be the one that breaks the current curse? After all, it’s not like The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, or other shows in the franchise have really led to a lot of success in love.
