After an intense and strong seventh season, the upcoming season 8 of ABC's The Rookie, might have a hard time to match its success. Luckily, we fans won't have to what much longer to see if it lives up to its promise! And I don't know about you, but I'm excited to see the return of my favorite characters back on my small screen.
Speaking of which, lots of events happened for the LAPD last season. We got to see Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen take a groundbreaking next step in their relationship, while Officer Nolan and his wife, Bailey, continue on their exploration of expanding their family through adoption. Yet, the couple decided that raising a child with their jeopardizing careers wouldn't ideal and decided on becoming mentors for youth.
Then, there was the drama of new rookie Seth Ridley, who remarkably undergone a redemption arc during a high-stakes scenario. While his good faith act was honorably recognized by the LAPD staff, including Officer Nolan, it unfortunately altered Seth's life that would disqualify him from physical duties.
While season 8 has yet to reveal its full narrative and where the characters are headed, it's extremely likely that the season 7 finale that left us all on a cliffhanger when Monica reenters the picture, will be one of its engaging storylines.
Also, the teaser trailer had us laughing at the end there, because it was such a Tim moment and we could all use a little humor right now.
The Rookie season 8 will be arriving on ABC come midseason
Season 8 will follow the season 7 premiere schedule and that will be in the midseason. The exciting part of this deal is that it'll give us some time to catch up and rewatch some of our favorite The Rookie episodes on Hulu!
