There’s plenty of love in the air, but that often means drama. Ghosts season 5 may be a comedy, but it will also bring some relationship drama.
While season 4 had a little bit of drama for Sam and Jay, as Sam met someone else who could see ghosts. However, the season was mostly focused on setting Sas up with the love of his life, only for him to realize that he wanted to be with Joan. And so, Sas finally lost his virginity, and now the two can attempt a relationship in the afterlife.
And yes, Ghosts season 5 will also see a blossoming relationship between Alberta and Pete, and they are sure to have some highs and lows, but it’s not them that we’re worried about. It’s all about Thor and Flower.

We’ll get some lucid moments in Flower’s story in Ghosts season 5
According to TV Insider, co-showrunner Joe Wiseman has teased that there is potential trouble for Flower and Thor, and it all comes from a Flower arc that’s going to be explored. We’ll get to see her have a few more lucid moments. After all, while she died high, she wasn’t always high in the past!
“Flower has some big developments early on. We’re going to see what she’s like when she’s a little bit more lucid, before she was so drug addled.”
It’s possible that this could open up for some backstory of why she joined the cult in the first place, but the lucid moments threaten her relationship with Thor. She’s going to see things a little more clearly, but does that mean she sees Thor as someone to be with or not to be with?
Personally, I think Thor is awesome and he is a great boyfriend to have. I’m not Flower, though.
It’s possible that it’s not Flower rethinking things, but that it’s Thor rethinking things. He loves his girl the way she is, but how much does her personality change when she’s lucid? What does that mean for the way they are together? That could be the trouble that the two could face.

Does a lucid Flower mean trouble for Hetty and Trevor?
Let’s talk about a lucid Flower, though, as we’ve seen just how smart she is when the drugs aren’t messing with her brain. She was the one to figure out that Hetty and Trevor had manipulated things to make it so they got rooms of their own, but the drugs made her forget everything that she had worked out.
Is it possible that we’ll get to see her remember things for longer periods of time? This could lead to her remembering about Hetty and Trevor again, exposing their scheme to the rest of the ghosts.
Ghosts season 5 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
