Friday nights are more than worth looking forward to. With Happy’s Place and Stumble, we have a great night of comedy to help us relax. However, there is some bad news, as Fridays are about to get a lot less funny.

NBC is bumping the two shows from the schedule. Don’t panic too much, though, as it’s not because the two shows are failing. In fact, Happy’s Place has just scored a third season renewal, and we’re holding out hope that Stumble will be renewed despite the odds right now. So, what’s the deal, and will there be reruns?

Like with so many NBC shows right now, such as Brilliant Minds, the two comedies are being bumped due to sports. The Winter Olympic Games begin on Friday, Feb. 6 with the Opening Ceremony, and then it will be two weeks of footage.

There will be no reruns during this time. At least, not at the usual time the episodes air. NBC is opting to push hard on the Winter Olympic coverage, and we can’t really blame them. This is a huge international event that only happens every four years. We can deal with a break just for that time.

Stumble gets a post-Olympic special slot

For those who are ready for more Stumble, it will return earlier than Happy’s Place, and that’s because it’s getting a special post-Olympic slot. As we previously announced, NBC is clearly trying to get this comedy off the ground, and Stumble will air on Sunday, Feb. 22, after the Closing Ceremony. We’ll have a time closer to the date.

Then the show will be back to its regular schedule on Fridays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC. The Monday night reruns will end at this time, as The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will take over that post-St. Denis Medical timeslot.

Happy’s Place returns in February 2026

As for Happy’s Place, that will return on Friday, Feb. 27, at 8/7c on NBC. There’s no need for the series to get a push in viewership, as NBC is already happy with it, dishing out a third season already.

We don’t yet have any details about the episode, but the pre-Olympic break episode did put a spanner in the works for Bobbie and Emmett, as Bobbie learned that Emmett knew a secret about Bobbie’s father and sister. As the two broke up, there are questions about whether they’ll be able to get back together. We waited so long for them to admit their feelings for each other!

Happy’s Place and Stumble are both available to stream on Peacock during the break.
