Don't adjust your TV tonight when you settle in to watch new episodes of Fire Country and Sheriff Country on CBS! The shows aren't airing out of order, and the network hasn't made a mistake. Both shows are simply on the move, which has been pre-planned before the seasons began.
Last Friday for the Fire Country season 4 premiere, CBS slated the fan-favorite procedural drama to air at 8/7c in order for the show to act as a lead-in for its new spinoff series Sheriff Country. However, this week, the shows are settling into their regular timeslots and will officially be swapped. Again, don't adjust your TV! That's exactly what's supposed to happen.
Both shows are new on Friday, Oct. 24 and will air episodes on CBS. Sheriff Country season 1 episode 2, "Firewall," kicks off the night at 8/7c as the new lead-off show for the Friday night block. Fire Country season 4 episode 2, "Not a Stray," immediately follows at 9/8c, and the evening comes to an end with Boston Blue season 1 episode 2, "Teammates," at 10/9c.

Fire Country and Sheriff Country swap timeslots on CBS
For the viewers who don't watch the shows live on either CBS or Paramount+, the timeslot change won't have much of an impact. The new episodes of each series become available to stream on Paramount+ the day after their televised air date on CBS. That means, you can watch both Fire Country and Sheriff Country in whatever order you'd like Saturdays on Paramount+.
In tonight's new episode of Fire Country, Station 42 takes on a challenging wildfire situation that once again allows the team to build their unity and strength in the face of great danger. Meanwhile, the new battalion chief arrives on site and seems to rub everyone the wrong way with his different style of leading a team. The Pitt star Shawn Hatosy guest stars in tonight's episode!
Over on Sheriff Country, we can look forward to a crossover between both of the shows as Sharon (Diane Farr) drops by as Mickey (Morena Baccarin) deals with a difficult missing persons case at the same time that her daughter has a surprising connection to a crime scene. Sharon lends her support to her sister and niece during the stressful situation in the episode that was directed by Fire Country star Kevin Alejandro.
Going forward, don't expect the shows to swap timeslots again (unless CBS decides Fire Country works better as a lead-in to its spinoff). The network seemingly wanted to set the tone for Sheriff Country but now intends to maintain stability with the shows' timeslots. Moving forward Fire airs at 8/7c and Sheriff airs at 9/8c. Don't forget it! There's no better way to end the week.
Fire Country airs Fridays at 9/8c on CBS, following new episodes of Sheriff Country at 8/7c. Both shows are available to stream on Paramount+.
