One of the best holidays of the year is finally here! The Fourth of July is usually spent gathering with friends and family, firing up the grill, basking in the summer sunshine, and marveling at the dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky. But in between the celebrations, there’s nothing wrong with sneaking in some well-deserved TV time.

You can only pop so many sparklers before you need a break! Why not unwind with a show that will keep you entertained while you recharge? Below, we shared four binge-worthy TV shows that are perfect to catch up on over the long Fourth of July weekend.

Will Trent season 3
IANTHA RICHARDSON AND RAMÓN RODRIGUEZ IN WILL TRENT SEASON 3 | Disney/Wilford Harewood

Will Trent

Will Trent received an early season 4 renewal back in April 2025. With the fourth season set to premiere on ABC in early 2026, now is the perfect time to catch up on everything you missed. Or, perhaps you already watched the previous seasons but just need a refresher before the new episodes air. You can stream seasons 1 to 3 on Hulu right now.

Will Trent is based on Karin Slaughter's book series of the same title. The police procedural revolves around the gifted yet troubled GBI special agent Will Trent as he solves the most challenging cases, all while grappling with the emotional scars of a traumatic childhood.

Grey's Anatomy season 21
ALEXIS FLOYD, HARRY SHUM JR., ADELAIDE KANE, MIDORI FRANCIS, NIKO TERHO, AND KALI ROCHA IN GREY'S ANATOMY SEASON 21 | Disney/Anne Marie Fox

Grey's Anatomy

No matter how many more medical drama series come out, Grey's Anatomy will remain a fan favorite. That's just the magic of a show that knows how to keep audiences invested season after season. In April 2025, ABC renewed the hit series for a twenty-second installment, which is slated to start airing in the fall. But before the new season kicks off, now is the perfect time to catch up on past episodes. All 21 previous seasons are available to stream on Hulu or Netflix.

In fact, Grey's Anatomy season 21 was recently added to Netflix on June 14. The latest installment ended on a shocking cliffhanger, so you're going to want to make sure you at least catch up on that season. That way, there will be no confusion, and you’ll be fully ready to dive back into the drama when Grey's Anatomy season 22 begins airing.

The medical drama is set in the fictional Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle, where we follow a dedicated group of doctors who work day and night to save lives while juggling their own personal dramas.

St. Denis Medical

Let's move away from the more serious shows and switch gears to something a little lighter and more fun. St. Denis Medical is one of NBC's newest series, and it'll easily remind you of shows like The Office or Parks and Recreation. I wouldn't say it's on the same level as those shows just yet, but it's headed in the right direction. You can stream the complete first season on Peacock. A second season is confirmed to start airing this fall.

St. Denis Medical is a workplace comedy that's set in a small, underfunded hospital in Oregon, where the medical staff navigate hectic shifts, budget constraints, and demanding patients, all while trying to keep the hospital running against the odds.

Ghosts

Let the laughter continue! Another show you should catch up on during the Fourth of July weekend is Ghosts. A fifth season has already been confirmed and is expected to premiere on CBS this fall. That said, now is the perfect time to binge the first four seasons and get familiar with the hilarious and heartwarming ghostly residents of Woodstone Manor before the new episodes arrive. Seasons 1 through 4 are available to stream on Paramount+.

Ghosts centers around Samantha and Jay Arondekar, a married couple who inherit a large yet dilapidated mansion, only to find it’s occupied by an eclectic mix of eccentric ghosts from various historical periods.
