Our Thursday night lineup will be without some of the twistiest and most addicting shows currently on television for the foreseeable future. As the holiday season kicks off in full swing with Thanksgiving in November, the networks are setting fan-favorite shows off on temporary hiatuses, and that includes one of the hottest new shows of the season.
Unfortunately, there's some bad news to share about 911: Nashville when it comes to a new episode on Thursday, Nov. 20. ABC won't air a new episode of the first responder drama series this week since the series already said farewell for the year with the midseason finale. Obviously, that means there also won't be a new episode on Thursday, Nov. 27, which is Thanksgiving Day.
911: Nashville season 1 returns in January 2026
While the wait for new episodes of 911: Nashville season 1 to resume airing seems rather long, the new hit series picks right back up at the start of the new year. ABC brings back its whole Thursday night lineup on Thursday, Jan. 8, starting with the 911 spinoff airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT. 911 season 9 and Grey's Anatomy season 22 also air as usual at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m on ABC.
Usually, 911 takes a much longer midseason break after ending for the season in November. Most of the past seasons of the franchise flagship have returned in March, but ABC's bringing the shows back earlier than March. That's music to fans' ears, though it could also mean that we're in for a few weeks of reruns after the January return dates for a very specific reason.
The Winter Olympics will air on NBC in February and will likely cause some breaks here and there for some of our favorite shows on other networks to avoid competition. That's why CBS has opted to bring back most of its original scripted series in late February. It's going to be an interesting, if not slightly chaotic, start of the new year for the small screen.
If you're looking to get your 911: Nashville fix while we wait for new episodes to begin airing in January 2026, the series is available to stream on Hulu. Additionally, if you have a bundle subscription, all current episodes of the series are available to stream on Disney+ as well. You can catch up on demand with a cable or other television subscription or by purchasing episodes.
Whether you're watching the first six episodes for the first time, rewatching them to get ready for the next phase of the season, or catching up on episodes you got behind on, make sure to watch 911: Nashville on Hulu to make the wait until the new year go by even faster!
