We are getting closer to the end of the summer hiatus, but there are still a few weeks to fill. The good news is that the broadcast networks still have some summer content.
Of course, it can seem like a lot when you’re trying to go through each night. We have you covered by going through it and finding the shows to skip and watch. Now, keep in mind that when we say skip, we don’t mean that they’re not worth watching. They’re available elsewhere already, so you can watch whenever you want.
What to watch: Survival Mode
NBC has plenty of shows to check out throughout the summer, especially when it comes to reality. One of the Monday night shows to watch is Survival Mode. This one is great for fans of first responder shows, as it goes into the realities of the job.
In the latest episode, titled “Fort Worth Pileup,” we’re heading back to the winter freeze that caused a deadly pileup on the highway. First responders and drivers in Texas were forced to figure out a way to get through the trap and the night.
Survival Mode airs on Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.

What to watch: TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan
While Hulk Hogan was a divisive person, there’s no doubt that he left a legacy behind. Because of that, it’s not surprising that TMZ has a special to look back at his life and career after his unexpected death earlier this month.
The special will take a look at the highs and lows. This is something that needs to be done with respect for Hulk Hogan’s family, and it’s a chance for wrestling fans and his fans to have a reminder of his achievements and more.
Watch on Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX.

What to skip: Will Trent
Now, do not get me wrong. I think Will Trent is a must-watch show, but it is on my list of shows to skip. That’s for one reason and one reason only: it’s all about reruns during the week. There are no new episodes to come until 2026.
You can watch Will Trent whenever you want on Hulu. If you haven’t caught the show yet, then maybe watching an episode on Tuesday could help you get a sense of the show, but it’s going to be the most recent season. Head to Hulu to start from the beginning. You won’t regret it.

What to watch: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Do you like testing your knowledge? Then ABC is the network for you on Wednesdays. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire will air a new episode, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting it once more. There are celebrity contestants aiming to win $1,000,000 for their chosen charities.
This is a great series that puts general knowledge to the test. At the same time, there’s strategy involved. How much are you willing to risk in the name of testing your knowledge?
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is on Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC.
What to watch: Gordon Ramsey’s Secret Service
There’s something magical about watching Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen. What’s even better is watching him try to help a restaurant survive. We’ve seen it with Kitchen Nightmares, and we get to see it continue with Secret Service.
In the latest episode, Ramsey is heading to a restaurant called Dahlak. It’s a family-run business that is known for poor hygiene and pests, two things that are going to lead to people telling everyone to stay away. However, it’s also a place full of Eritrean cuisine, and Ramsey wants to save it.
Watch the episode on Wednesday at 9/8c on FOX.

What to skip: Matlock
Like with Will Trent, I fully think that you should watch Matlock. The issue here is that, also like Will Trent, it’s a rerun. CBS doesn’t have a lot of original programming going on throughout the summer, and Thursdays are almost as normal with reruns, although the night does start with Big Brother.
Instead of staying up until 10 p.m., turn your attention to Paramount+. That’s where you’ll find all episodes of the first season so far, so you can catch up in time for season 2.
What to watch: Celebrity Family Feud
Are you looking for something light to start your Thursday nights? ABC has a game show night going on, and it all starts with Celebrity Family Feud. Who doesn’t love to see what the top answers are? There are some crazy moments on this Steve Harvey series.
The new episode will see the Harlem Globetrotters take on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. After that, Bridget Everett and Vanessa Bayer face off with their families. Everyone is competing to raise money for their selected charities, but we’re here for the laughs.
Celebrity Family Feud airs on Thursday at 8/7c on ABC.

What to watch: Stand Up to Cancer 2025
If there’s only one thing you’ll watch this week, it has to be Stand Up to Cancer 2025. This is a chance to see the best and brightest within the cancer community working together to make sure patients get the treatment they need. It’s time to take away the barriers of transportation and instead, take the labs to the patients.
The best thing about this is that you can watch it across all the networks. Yes, the Big 4 are working together to make sure as many eyes as possible are on this venture.
Stand Up to Cancer airs on Friday at 8/7c. Take your pick of network.
What to skip: Sister Act
Finally, it’s all about using your weekend to your advantage. You want to make Sunday night movie night, but you don’t want to be stuck with commercials. So, Sister Act is out on ABC.
Sister Act is not completely out, though. This movie is on Disney+, and you can watch it in full without distractions. Follow up with the sequel, because you know the kids will love it.
