Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 2 has already gotten the green light, which is great for us fans of the sitcom series! Get ready for it to premiere Thursday nights in fall 2025 on CBS. While we wait for the return of the show, we're thinking about what we're hoping to see. Here's 4 things we need in Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 2.

Georgie's path to becoming Dr. Tire

In The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 23, us viewers met Georgie Cooper for the first time. As an adult of course. Sheldon's older brother was interesting from the start, especially becoming a huge success with his tire business, Dr. Tire. Not only does Georgie own one store, but a whole franchise that sells the most tires in of Texas. And Texas is no small state!

Georgie had such huge character development on Young Sheldon as a teen and continues to be a likable one on Georgie and Mandy. So in season 2, I really want to see him get to that place as he's just purchased Jim's store with the help of Mary and Ruben, which will make for some fun conflicts. How does he go from that to Dr. Tire? Hopefully we find out!

Mandy's success at Channel 7 news

A very important part of Mandy's storyline is being able to go back to work and succeed in her own way that maker her happy as well. I do hope that the introduction of old flame Scott as her boss at the station isn't going to lead to her leaving and then struggling to find a job elsewhere. We don't want her to start from square one again after doing that in the first season.

Or worse, maybe she does stay and that's what leads to more tension between her and Georgie? I don't know. But this gal deserves to have a career as well and do something she's passionate about other than motherhood. So I'm interested to see her at the news station more.

Some New York Nonsense
“Some New York Nonsense” – Georgie struggles to balance life, work and family; Mandy worries for Georgie’s wellbeing; and Missy (Raegan Revord) gets into trouble at school, on GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRIAGE, Thursday, Oct. 24 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Something meaningful with Missy

So far any time Missy has shown up, except for maybe the Thanksgiving episode, it's been with her misbehaving. It's a very hard time for her, and we don't know how much support she's actually getting. Mary is holding down the home, but she's processing her grief in her own way. And Meemaw is busy with her betting business.

Yes, she's acting like a typical teenager on top of the major loss of her father. Though I feel like the writers can give her more substance and something a bit more heartfelt than what we've seen with her so far. There's potential there, they just need to tap into it.

Audrey being a little less Audrey

I don't know what it is about Audrey because Mary is very much opinionated too. Though Mandy's mother just sort of has a way of grating on your nerves at times. Most of the time, it's not even funny, just annoying. It' a part of who she is, though I do feel like it needs to be toned down a bit in the second season.

We've seen some progress made between mother and daughter, and she's very slightly warmed up to Georgie. Though I would like to see that continue and be more in Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 2. Like Missy, there's potential for this character to grow which would be wonderful to see.
