When it comes to sitcoms, recurring guest stars are common. That’s certainly been the case for Ghosts, with particular guest stars popping up at least once a season. Well, a certain annoying couple will be in Ghosts season 5.

The first thing for anyone to deal with in Ghosts season 5 is Jay’s deal. He made a deal with the devil, although he had no idea at the time. Of course, Elias Woodstone isn’t going to care about tricking someone into a deal—he should probably meet Crowley in Supernatural to see how these things are really done.

It’s going to be all hands on deck to deal to save Jay, but once that’s over, everyone can focus on something new. That something new is bringing back a particularly annoying couple. Yes, the Farnsbys are back in Ghosts season 5.

The Farnsbys return in Ghosts season 5 episode 2

We get to wait until the second episode of the season for Henry and Margaret to return. There’s even a short synopsis to give us an idea as to why they’re here. It looks like they’re at the B&B to cause a few more problems.

Sam and Jay are going to face a customer service ordeal. It’s not clear what that is exactly, but we know when the Farnsbys are around, it’s likely linked to them. After all, it’s not like they wanted Woodstone Manor to be turned into a B&B in the first place!

Sad Farnsby
“Sad Farnsby” – When Sam accidentally creates a rift between Sam and Jay’s neighbors, the Farnsbys, Henry Farnsby moves into Woodstone B&B. Also, Isaac and Nigel battle over a belated wedding present, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, Dec. 12 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Could the Farnsbys be back for a wedding in Ghosts season 5?

What’s interesting is that this episode is titled “Viking Wedding,” and we know that the Farnsby land has another Viking. Thor’s son, Bjorn, died on the land over there, and father and son tend to shout to connect with each other. Is it possible that this could link to why the Farnsbys are over?

Here is the synopsis:

"Sam and Jay try to impress their trendy city friends; a misplaced bookcase threatens Thor's ability to deliver an important speech; Isaac rallies the ghosts to help the couple navigate a tough customer service ordeal."

Are Thor and Flower about to get married? This could give Sam and Jay a need to be as close to the border with the Farnsbys as possible, so that Bjorn can also be a part of his father’s wedding.

We know that Thor and Flower are going to face some troubles during Ghosts season 5, as Flower has a few more lucid moments. Could a wedding be the thing that helps her have more lucid moments, and could she believe that she made a mistake? I hope not!

Ghosts season 5 premieres on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
