There is a lot to hope for in the Ghosts season 5 premiere. Of course, the biggest is getting Jay out of his deal with the devil, but that’s not the storyline the current reveal seems to be connected to.
Photos of the Ghosts season 5 premiere tell us more familiar faces are returning. One in particular is connected to Pete, which hints at trouble for Pete and Alberta’s relationship. Oh yes, Carol is back!
Of course, Carol will return in Ghosts season 5
There are two images showcasing Carol’s return in the Ghosts season 5 premiere. Both of them have her with Nancy the Basement Ghost, which hints that Carol has no issue with being connected to the various ghosts around Woodstone Manor.
In a way, this shouldn’t be a surprise. The Main 8 are a pretty exclusive club. Despite other people dying above ground, they haven’t necessarily been allowed into the main group, and we only get to see them now and again. Stephanie sleeps most of the year, while Crash wanders around somewhere, sometimes without his head!
Carol is another one of those ghosts, and we’ll get to see her hang out with Nancy. This is sure to stir up trouble considering Nancy’s personality!
Could Carol cause trouble for Pete and Alberta
We know that there’s some trouble for Pete and Alberta coming in Ghosts season 5. This is one of those relationships that could work, as long as the two don’t turn to self-sabotaging actions. Alberta tends to like a bad boy, and she’s often turned away from Pete’s interest in her. That was until the kiss, and then she realized that she wanted him.
Well, how does that play out in the house? Carol could realize that, actually, she wants her ex-husband now that Alberta wants him. Pete pined for his wife for a long time until he learned that she didn’t just move on with his best friend, but that they were having an affair the whole time.
Even if Carol doesn’t want Pete, she may just not want him to move on with someone else, especially not someone in the house. If Carol is teaming up with Nancy, it suggests that she’s getting our favorite Basement Ghost to put some doubts in Alberta’s head about Pete. This could make Alberta walk away until she realizes that she’s been manipulated. I wouldn’t put it past Carol and Nancy to do something like that.
