Bachelor in Paradise season 10 episode 4 was a good one! There were some genuinely interesting conversations (mostly among the Goldens), some escalations in drama, and a couple of new arrivals!
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of Bachelor in Paradise episode 4!
Worst moment: Kat and Dale
Dale! He was the shining star of the first two episodes, but he really tanked episode 3. Kat asks Dale if he kissed Alli Jo (outside of the Kissing Booth). Dale said he did, but he “deaded it” the next day, so he didn’t tell her.
Let me be clear: it’s not upsetting that Dale kissed Alli J. This is Paradise, live it up!
It’s not even that, as Kat said, he didn’t mention it to her until asked directly. That was kind of bad, but not even the worst.
The worst moment came when Kat asked Dale about it, and Dale’s communication style (or lack thereof) was on full display. He just kept repeating, “I deaded it. I deaded it.” LOL.
Kat mentioned to him, very calmly, that she would have preferred he communicated that to her.
It just did not feel like Dale cared at ALL. He didn’t seem to think about where she was coming from, instead reverting to comments such as “move past it” and “you’re sounding a lot like my ex.” Defensive, dismissive Dale.
I understand not wanting to look bad on television, but if Dale had just given a quick acknowledgement that he could have told her sooner, they could have moved on!
Dale then talks to Gary about the issue. Gary tried to give him some advice, but Dale basically just talks over him! Gary (bless his heart), calls him out on it and says, “Let me finish my thought!” Good for Gary!
Also: Dale was mean to the birds, yelling at them to shut up.
Best moment: Garadise
I just love Gary! He arrives in Paradise in style, and everyone is excited!
Kathy puts it perfectly when she says Gary is “always a lot of fun, handsome as all get out, beautiful head of hair, great smile. He is a catch!”
Gary is very complimentary of the younger men. He wonders, “What are you doing? Are you just not eating? I like to eat!”
Gary’s got game! He’s “very good with the ladies,” as Jack notes. Kat mentioned to him, very calmly, that she would have preferred he communicated that to her.
The two appreciate the calming setting, and discuss being over the hill but still feeling young. They decide to go on a date! Gary was a breath of fresh air for episode 4 of Bachelor in Paradise!
