As we kicked off another new year, another series of The Traitors arrived to thrill audiences in the UK. Claudia Winkleman and her amazing fashion returned to Ardross Castle to bring in another class of Faithfuls and Traitors for a season that has absolutely gripped the nation once again.

There are just two episodes of the BBC One show's fourth series left, and the tensions couldn't be higher - especially with the possibility of the Traitors turning on each other. Yep, Stephen and Rachel's alliance could come crashing down as fingers begin to be pointed at Rachel. The question is: Will she redirect them to Stephen, or will he double down on his concerns and vote to banish her at the Roundtable?

That's what we're here to find out, as The Traitors season 4 episode 11 looks to reveal all. Follow along with us as we recap the events of the penultimate episode.

The morning after (and another murder rocks the Faithfuls)

The banishment of Matt continues to ring through the castle as the group gathers for breakfast to see who the next victim is. Jack and Stephen are the first two, and they discuss the possibility of Rachel being a Traitor. James and Jade enter, with the former revealing that he still feels guilty for Matt's departure. Then Rachel and Faraaz enter, with the confirmation that the Traitors have murdered Roxy.

Claudia enters and reveals that Roxy was actually the daughter of formerly banished cast member Judy. The team is beside themselves in shock for not realizing that. Meanwhile, Stephen suggests that they all use this Roundtable to bring up everything they've been thinking so that it's all out in the open. Out of six contestants, two of them are Traitors, but who could it be?

Faraaz and James have a chat in the castle about how it genuinely could be Rachel, only for Rachel to walk in. And then, Rachel and Stephen cross paths - both promising to convincingly ask each other a lot of questions to drive the façade home.

A task a day keeps a murder away

They group then makes their way into the Scottish Highlands for their next mission. They have to climb a mountain to reach a shrine to the fallen Faithful. At the top is a shield which they then have to fill with gold - if they complete the task, Claudia adds £10000 to the prize fund of £66,000. If they fill it completely, the Traitors lose their final murder.

All of the gang struggled with the going up and down the hill, particularly James - who was unwell along the way. But together, they overcame the odds - as every one of them made it to the top, added to their prize fund, and prevented the Traitors from committing their final murder. That means that the Traitors need to ensure a Faithful is banished.

As the contestants return home, it's revealed that this is the final time that an eliminated act reveals themselves. But as the Roundtable approaches, James and Rachel are the two most likely to receive votes. Ahead of the discussion, however, it's looking like Rachel has the most attention on her.

Tables turn, ties don't break

As they enter the Roundtable, the heat is on Rachel pretty early on. Jack and James open by pointing the finger directly at her, referencing her run-ins with Harriet and Fiona as potential evidence. Rachel takes it on the chin and acknowledges their concern, but tells them she is Faithful. Things pivot to James based on his behaviour in the previous episode, with Rachel, Jade, and Stephen all questioning him.

To save face, Rachel and Stephen do question each other, but they ultimately remain loyal to one another by voting elsewhere. And with that, voting time brings a tie, as Rachel, Stephen, and Jade vote to banish James - while James, Jack, and Faraaz vote to banish Rachel. As a result, Claudia offers them the chance to plead their case, prompting another vote.

Two votes switch this time - with Jade voting to banish Rachel and Jack voting to banish James. Unfortunately, the tie remains in place. Claudia tells them that their fate is now up to chance and returns with the infamous chest of drawers. Whoever gets the shield will remain in the competition, but we aren't told yet... as the show cuts to credits in what might just be the most outrageous cliffhanger of the year thus far.

The Traitors returns to BBC One for its season 4 finale on Friday, January 22, at 8:00 p.m. GMT.
