We have some good news and bad news about the Temptation Island season 2 reunion! We'll start with the good news first.
For the first time as a Netflix original reality series, Temptation Island is getting a reunion. The stars of season 2 are ready to tell all about what happened out in Hawaii and what's happened since the season aired on Netflix on April 10.
The bad news is that the Temptation Island season 2 isn't happening on Netflix; it's going to be on The Viall Files podcast and hosted by Nick Viall and Natalie Joy, the hosts of Netflix's Age of Attraction.
This is the second time Netflix is outsourcing a reality TV reunion to The Viall Files. I don't totally understand it, especially when Mark L. Walberg is literally sitting right there, just waiting to get his opportunity to go back through it all with these couples. We need him at this reunion, but unfortunately, it doesn't appear that's going to happen.
The Viall Files revealed the Temptation Island season 2 reunion will be released on YouTube at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 22. But, wait, there's more! The Viall Files also confirmed the season 2 reunion is a two-part episode. The second half of the reunion will be released at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24.
I don't know what to make of the news about a two-part reunion for Temptation Island season 2 on The Viall Files. I'm obviously happy we get to learn more about what's been happening with these couples and if they were able to put their differences aside.
After sitting through the three-hour Age of Attraction season 1 reunion, I'm just not sure this is the best format for this kind of thing, but hey, beggars can't be choosers as they say.
Based on the trailer for the Temptation Island season 2 reunion, it looks like all eight contestants (the four couples from Temptation Island season 2) will be returning for the season 2 reunion. In the trailer, you can see:
- Jack Mason
- Shyanne Blankenship
- Summit Wallace
- Kaylee Needham
- Cole Mueller
- Scarlett Bentley
- Mike Bivens
- Sydney McGregor
Of course, Summit and Kaylee were the only couple of the four who stayed together, but it's unclear if they are still together.
It doesn't look like any of the singles who we met during the season will be involved with the reunion, not the first part anyway. It'll be interesting to see if those contestants will be reunited with the couples during the second part on Friday, April 24.
