Just one week after we heard The Bachelorette season would be airing on ABC this summer, the rumor mill is back at it again.

This time, thanks to Deux Moi, the latest rumor is Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette will be released on Hulu sometime this summer, instead of ABC.

We're only a few short months removed from Disney pulling the plug on The Bachelorette premiere after TMZ posted a video or an altercation between Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, that resulted in Paul pleading guilty to an assault charge in 2023.

Since then, there's been a lot of chatter about what Disney and ABC were going to do with the season. Would they eat the $30 million-plus to bring this show to life? Would they air the show this summer or fall on ABC as Reality Steve suggested he'd heard? Would they dump the season on a streamer like Disney+ or Hulu to eat some of the loss but have a chance to capitalize on the future talent the season could produce?

Well, it looks like the Hulu option seems the most likely now after ABC didn't include The Bachelorette in its summer or fall schedule. The latter was just announced at the 2026 Upfronts.

Ultimately, I have a hard time believing Disney in this economy is just going to fully bail on The Bachelorette season even if that's the right thing to do. Not airing the season and the financial losses with it could bury the franchise, though, and I don't think Disney, after everything has happened over the years with this franchise, is going to just let that happen based on a few terrible decisions behind the scenes.

In addition to the weirdness with a potential Hulu drop, Deux Moi reported that The Bachelorette season finale and After the Final Rose would then air on ABC.

I don't know why they would do that, when the full season is airing on a streaming platform, but that's what the latest rumor is, so it's definitely worth mentioning.

Now, it's impossible to know if there's truth to this rumor right now. Deux Moi often gets a lot of things right, but they also get a lot things wrong or slightly off, so it'll be interesting to see just how this saga plays out.

Reality Steve reacted to the latest rumors on his podcast, and he mentioned that he's hearing that The Bachelorette season led by Paul will be released this year. It's not going on the shelf forever; it will be released.
