Another season of Survivor has arrived and while all eyes might be on the show’s historic 50th season, the Survivor 49 cast are ready to leave their mark on the franchise!
18 players head to Fiji at the top of the season to compete for the $1 million grand prize and title of Sole Survivor. As in past years, CBS has rounded up a cast of players that come from all walks of life but are united in their goal of outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting their competitors and proving to the world they have what it takes to win one of the most challenging reality competitions in the world!
The Survivor 49 cast features contestants with some really interesting careers which are sure to create some fun dynamics in the season. We’ve got a political comms director, a musician, a correctional officer, a law clerk, a video editor, an airport ramp agent, a former Marvel Studios producer, and even a rocket scientist among the cast! They’ll look to use their unique backgrounds and strengths to make it to the end and form strong alliances with their tribe mates to get them there.
On the age front, the Survivor 49 cast is a relatively young group, with only three players over 40 competing this season. Our oldest player is 52, making them more than twice as old as this season’s youngest competitor, who is 25. It’ll be interesting to see how these age dynamics play out on the beach, but as many players have shown us over the years, age is just a number in the game of Survivor!
