The British public is still in awe of Strictly Come Dancing's Week 7 extravaganza. A week that can often feel a little bit too normal after two theme weeks (Icons and Halloween Week), it delivered some of the best dancing that the whole series has seen, and audiences simply couldn't get enough of it! And it's a welcome distraction as fans are still finding it hard to believe that Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are leaving after this series.
Where do we even start? Vicky and Kai's Leaderboard-topping Tango? Amber and Nikita's jaw-dropping Salsa? We have to talk about Balvinder and Julian's breakthrough moment with their Couples Choice routine, which may well have been the moment of the night. And what a beautiful one it was!
Naturally, as Sunday night approaches, Strictly fans get nervous about the dreaded Dance-Off, and who could find themselves having to compete in it. If you're ready for that, here's when you can expect to watch it, as well as everything else you can expect from the Sunday night Results Show.
Strictly Week 7's Results Show has a slightly earlier start time
The Strictly Come Dancing Week 7 Results Show airs on BBC One on Sunday, November 9, at 7:10 pm GMT. Now, that's five minutes earlier than usual start time. With the exception of the odd five minute earlier start time on occasion, the Results Show has a fixed time each and every Sunday through the season (while the Saturday night episode can have different start times based on how long it is). Tonight is one of those exceptions, which means that we will probably get a few more minutes of Claudia chatting to the safe couples.
Speaking of length, the Results Show will also have a slightly longer runtime of 50 minutes, meaning that it will wrap up at 8:00 p.m. GMT. As it is pre-recorded and edited in advance, it won't run the risk of running over time.
Everything to expect from the Strictly Week 7 Results and Dance-off
Saturday night's episode was one of the highest Week 7 standards that Strictly Come Dancing has ever seen. Even the couples that scored on the lower end of the Leaderboard still managed to produce really solid routines with a lot to love in there - and all three of them have scored much higher in previous weeks, highlighting both just how talented everyone is and how easy it is for the scores to change each week.
Taking all of that into account, Sunday night's Results Show promises to be one of the most interesting of the whole series. Couples who have proven to be very popular in previous weeks are on the lower end of the Leaderboard this week, so their public support will be really tested. Meanwhile, Amber and Nikita and Balvinder and Julian, both of whom have made Dance-Off appearances in recent weeks, had major dances and moments last night, so they could very well be safe from having to dance again this weekend.
If that does end up being the case, we'll probably see two new couples in the Dance-Off and that could really switch things up going forward. Honestly, with Blackpool on the horizon in two weeks, it's all still up for play.
We can also expect an episode similar to that of last week's in which they drop the repetitive three results segments and feature just two instead. The new Results Show format has been heavily criticized by fans for the lacklustre music, two opening VTs instead of one, the drawn-out results reveal, and the fact that the final two safe couples don't get a chance to speak to Claudia. The latter two issues were amended last week, as there were just two results reveals - the second of which happened much earlier, allowing the final two safe couples to have their Clauditorium chat.
In terms of what else you can expect from the Results Show, there will be a beautiful Remembrance Sunday routine as well as a performance from James Morrison.
