As St. Denis Medical gets ready for its second season, there is a new update. The show has landed a prominent figure from Love Island USA in a guest role.
Love Island USA’s host Ariana Madix is going to join the cast for season 2. This is not her first rodeo on TV in a fictional role, either.
Madix will join the cast in a guest role, with Deadline sharing her character name as Dr. Emerson. Those are all the details that we’re getting for now, but as it’s stipulated as a guest role and not a recurring role, it would suggest that she’s only going to be in one episode.
Will this Dr. Emersen be another problematic character for the doctors and nurses to face? We have no details of who Emersen is or why she is coming into the hospital. As St. Denis Medical season 2 is so far away from premiering, that’s not completely surprising, especially as a guest role. The show won’t want to give everything away for the episode.
Where you’ve seen Ariana Madix before
Of course, if you’re Love Island fans, then you know exactly where you’ve seen her before. You might also recognize her from Dancing with the Stars. What if you’re not a fan of the reality TV series? You will likely recognize her face from a couple of other productions.
Vanderpump Rules fans will recognize her from that series, which is where she got her start on TV. Will Trent fans have also seen her, as she guest-starred in an episode.
She’s also been on Broadway, starring as Roxie in Chicago. That is certainly a feat, and as someone who doesn’t watch Vanderpump Rules or Love Island has me excited to see what she will bring to St. Denis Medical.

St. Denis Medical season 2 will premiere on Monday, Nov. 3. It will kick off with a two-episode premiere and may run with two episodes at a time for a while. It’s not clear what’s going on with the schedule, as there are a couple of pilots that have been picked up to series, and now we’re waiting for them to start production to get an idea as to when they can premiere.
