Get ready to clear some space on your watchlist because one of Fox’s best and most binge-worthy shows is heading to Netflix very soon! This series aired on the Fox network earlier this year and has been available on another streaming service. But now Netflix subscribers will finally get the chance to see what all the hype is about.

Doc season 1
L-R: Molly Parker and Jon Ecker in the “Once More, With Feeling” episode of Doc season 1 | Fox

Doc is coming to Netflix in September 2025

According to Deadline, Netflix has secured the rights to stream Doc in the United States. The first season will become available on the platform, starting Tuesday, Sept. 23. If you've been keeping up with the show, you'd know that this is also the day that Doc season 2 premieres on Fox. The first season has been available to stream on Hulu since it first started airing on the network, but it is set to be removed on the same day it lands on Netflix.

Since Doc is licensed content for Netflix, it's important to mention that it won't remain on the streaming platform forever. That said, you might want to start watching it as soon as it becomes available. We would hate for you to wait until the last minute and miss your chance to binge this addictive show.

After Netflix canceled Pulse, many fans have been looking for their next medical drama obsession. We'd argue that Doc fills that void perfectly. In fact, we'd even say it's better than Pulse. I mean, it did get renewed for a supersized 22-episode second season. I'm just saying!

Doc is based on the Italian series called Doc – Nelle tue mani. Barbie Kligman serves as the creator and executive producer of the show. It stars Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen, a brilliant doctor who loses eight years of her memory after a severe brain injury, forcing her to navigate both her personal and professional life in entirely new ways.

Parker is joined in the season 1 cast by Omar Metwally, Jon Ecker, Amirah Vann, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, Charlotte Fountain-Jardim, Scott Wolf, and Sarah Allen. The first season is made up of 10 episodes that are each 43 minutes long. So, you have a perfectly bingeable series that you can either finish in one sitting or spread out over a few days. It's up to you. But I'm sure it'll be hard to stop once you start, and you'll find yourself on the last episode before you know it!

Below, we shared the Doc season 1 trailer.

It's currently unknown if Doc season 2 will eventually come to Netflix in the future. However, what we do know is that the second season will have to finish airing on Fox first before anything happens. You can also expect new episodes of Doc season 2 to stream on Hulu the day after they air.
