Perfect Match season 3 on Netflix is certainly shaking things up when the dating reality series premieres this August! For the first time ever, not only will there be singles from other Netflix reality shows, but ones who are known from other franchises on other networks and streamers, including ABC's The Bachelor.
The third season of the show definitely picked a controversial contestant to bring on, and that would be Clayton Echard. In case you need to refresh your memory, he first competed on The Bachelorette season 18, coming in eighth place on Michelle Young's season. Then when The Bachelor season 26 came around, he was announced to be headlining it. And let's just say it was quite a messy season.
Echard ended up telling not just two, but all three final women that he was in love with them. Those were Susie Evans, Rachel Recchia, and Gabby Windey. To make matters even more complicated, he slept with Gabby and Rachel in the Fantasy Suites. However in the end, he realized it was Susie he wanted to give that final rose to.
Um, alright then. He became one of the most controversial members in the Bachelor Nation franchise with viewers, and even previous contestants, because of all this. Plus as you'd expect, Susie initially turned him down. Then they dated from December 2021 to September 2022 before splitting up.
To make things even messier in his personal life, a woman named Laura Michelle Owens claimed she was pregnant with his twin in 2023. However that ended up being false and Owens had made up the story that he was the father of her children. Even so, this was not the type of publicity Echard needed as it was unknown for months who was telling the truth.
I guess he's ready to put all of that aside though to try and find love again on Perfect Match season 3! In a twist of events, guess who else from Bachelor Nation is part of the cast this season? That would be Rachel. The same one from his season. The two are reuniting on the Netflix series. Are they going to end up together this time, or are they meant to be with someone else? After all, there's reality stars from Love Island, Love Is Blind, and more.
The third season premieres with the first six episodes on Friday, Aug. 1, 2025. Those will be followed up by episodes 7 through nine on Aug. 8, and the finale on Friday, Aug. 15. Hosted by Nick Lachey, the dating reality series takes the contestants to a tropical paradise in the hopes of finding love, per the synopsis. And in the end, one couple will be crowned the perfect match. Check out the description and trailer below!
