NBC had already set its 2025 fall lineup, but the network just turned up the excitement with the addition of two new shows. This fall, you can expect The Paper and Stumble to begin airing on NBC, which means more laughs and plenty of comedy moments for viewers to enjoy every week.
The Paper season 1 premieres on NBC in November 2025
According to Deadline, NBC has announced its two comedy blocks premiering in November. The Peacock original The Paper will make its broadcast debut on Monday, Nov. 10, after a new episode of St. Denis Medical season 2 airs. The second season of St. Denis Medical is actually set to come out on Nov. 3, but viewers will have to wait a week for The Paper to join the lineup. Once The Paper season 1 makes its debut, you can expect a new episode to air every Monday following a new episode of St. Denis Medical season 2.
As mentioned earlier, The Paper is a Peacock show. The reason why it will be airing on NBC is part of the network’s windowing strategy, which gives streaming originals a broadcast run to reach a wider audience and build more buzz around the series. However, it doesn't seem like The Paper needed extra promotion or viewership numbers since it’s already one of Peacock’s highest-rated comedy premieres.
In fact, it was even given an early season 2 renewal ahead of the first season's release. However, this will be good for those who may not be subscribed to Peacock, as they can now catch the show on NBC and join in on the weekly comedy fun. The Paper is a spinoff of The Office. It centers around the staff of the Toledo Truth-Teller, a small, struggling newspaper, and follows their humorous and often chaotic efforts to keep the paper afloat.
The cast is made up of Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nunez.
Stumble begins airing on NBC in November 2025
NBC ordered Stumble back in July 2025, but at the time, no premiere date had been announced. Now, we finally know when it will start airing. The new cheerleading comedy series will debut on NBC on Friday, Nov. 7, following the season 2 premiere of Happy’s Place. After its debut, you can expect a new episode of Stumble to air every Friday right after a brand-new episode of Happy's Place season 2.
The comedy series revolves around Courteney Potter, a determined woman who sets out to guide her junior college cheer squad to what would be her 15th championship title, all while working to inspire and transform the lives of the team members along the way. Jenn Lyon, Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy are in the cast.
Another new comedy for the 2025-26 season, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, is being saved for a midseason debut. It stars Tracy Morgan as a former football player who works to restore his reputation.
