In December 2025, fans who watched a memorable episode of Fox's game show, Celebrity Weakest Link, got to see Dr. Will Kirby make his return to competing on television. Fortunately, GeekSided got to interview Dr. Will about his experience on the show. That allowed us to report on why Dr. Will opted to compete on the popular game show at all.

Easily one of the most entertaining reality show stars of all time, Dr. Will has always managed to make the most of his TV experiences. In the case of his recent Celebrity Weakest Link appearance, he unsurprisingly played a role in a strategic move that obviously dictated how the episode played out. What viewers couldn't have known is what Dr. Will told GeekSided about how he manipulated the episode more than it seemed on the show.

Dr. Will Kirby manipulated all of his Celebrity Weakest Link competitors

During a recent Celebrity Weakest Link episode, a group of TV doctors were brought together to compete against each other, including Dr. Will Kirby. The group of competitors featured three people who are doctors in real-life, and the rest were actors who portray characters who help patients on TV. As the episode progressed, the show's host, Dr. Jane Lynch, pointed out something diabolical that was happening.

Throughout the episode, the real-life doctors all teamed up to eliminate the actors in alphabetical order. With all of them voting the same, the trio was able to dictate the order that their competitors were eliminated and, more importantly, ensure they stayed in the game. When Lynch pointed out what was happening, the trio admitted to their plan. When asked for more details during the episode, Dr. Will stated that it was Dr. Sandra Lee who suggested the plan. During his GeekSided interview, Dr. Will was asked whether that was true or if he hatched the scheme. In response. Dr. Will explained that he had manipulated Dr. Lee into being the one to suggest they team up to get rid of everyone else.

“It's funny that you bring that up. So Dr. Lee, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. And I had never met her before. But she's extremely well known in the dermatological industry. I went to her trailer and introduced myself and the key to good emotional reality television playing is what I call inception, right? Like you plant an idea, but then you let someone else think it's their dream. I have nothing but great things to say about her. But I'm hanging out being friendly, hanging out being friendly, hanging out being friendly. And then she goes, ‘Hey, we should work together.’ And I'm like, ‘What? What a great idea.’ And so as soon as she said that, I go, ‘great, vote them out in alphabetical order.’”

On top of explaining his role in hatching the scheme that allowed the real-life doctors to become the final three competitors standing, Dr. Will had something else to say on the matter. Dr. Will talked to GeekSided about it being wrong that Jane Lynch called out the scheme the real-life doctors hatched before they finished executing it. While reading the following quote, it is important to note that Dr. Will didn't actually seem angry and that he also told the outlet about how much he respects Lynch as a person and performer.

“I have a bone to pick with the producers and with Jane. I mean, they announced what we were doing before we were finished doing it. That's production interfering with contestants. It was too late for them to stop us. But, whoa, don't do that.”
