Is Ghosts one of your favorite shows? If so, you'll be glad to know that the creative minds behind the hit CBS supernatural comedy will be diving back into the fantasy world with a brand-new pilot centered around vampires. CBS has officially given a pilot order to a vampire comedy titled Eternally Yours.

We first learned of this project back in August 2024. It was announced at the time that a development room was being created for the show. Now that CBS is moving forward with an actual pilot episode, it appears that development is done.

Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who serve as creators, showrunners, and executive producers of Ghosts, are once again teaming up to bring Eternally Yours to life. According to Deadline, it's a single-camera comedy. Port and Wiseman are not only writing the pilot episode, but they are also signed on as executive producers. They are working alongside three other executive producers: Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang.

As mentioned earlier, the plot is about a family of vampires. It will follow a vampire couple who’ve been married for 500 years as they struggle to accept the human their daughter is dating. Based on these limited details, this already seems like a fresh and funny take on the classic vampire trope.

Now, we're starting to imagine who might bring these immortal characters to life. Will the vampire couple be portrayed by seasoned actors? Or, perhaps rising stars may be cast. We're excited either way. Hopefully, the pilot will be received well and pave the way for a full series order.

The news of this pilot order comes as Ghosts is gearing up for its return on CBS. The fifth season is set to premiere on the network this fall. The exact premiere date is Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025. The first episode of the season will air on this date at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT. Then, a new episode will continue to air every Thursday until its season finale.

Also premiering on Oct. 16 are Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, Matlock season 2 and Elsbeth season 3. And we can't forget the other CBS shows returning in the fall, including The Neighborhood season 8, FBI season 8, Watson season 2, NCIS season 23 and Fire Country season 4. That said, there's plenty more exciting new content coming your way very soon. You just have to wait a little bit longer.
