It's officially the holiday season, and while that means the excitement of good food, good company, and a lot of extra free time, that also means a lot of our favorite shows will be taking a break. Whether that's a short break or an extended break, there will inevitably be a decent amount of time without new episodes, and that will soon include Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
Since the hit CBS sitcom airs on Thursday nights, fans are likely wondering whether a new episode will air on Thursday, November 27, otherwise known as Thanksgiving. Well, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will not have a new episode airing this week. In its place, the network will be airing NCAA basketball at 8 p.m. ET
While it's a bummer that we will be without a new episode of Georgie & Mandy on Thanksgiving, there's great news for fans. A lot of broadcast shows have already signed off for the year, but not Georgie & Mandy. There are still four new episodes left to air and stream on Paramount+ before 2025 comes to an end, including back-to-back episodes for the midseason finale.
After taking the week off for Thanksgiving, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage returns on Thursday, December 4 with season 2 episode 7, titled "A Bus Bench and Faith out the Wazoo." The following week on Thursday, December 11, season 2 episode 8, titled "Bitin', Spankin' and a Load of Yankee Psychobabble," airs and leads into the final two episodes of the year.
On Thursday, December 18, CBS airs back-to-back episodes of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The full hour begins with season 2 episode 9, titled "Payback and a Partial Shebang," and concludes with season 2 episode 10, titled "Miami Beach and a Magical Family Christmas." The Christmas episode wraps up the sitcom's run for the year, but CBS already has a return date.
Here's where the bad news comes in after all of that good news. You will notice that CBS will air more episodes of Georgie & Mandy before the midseason break than last year, but that's because a longer break is on the way. The sitcom will be off the air for all of January and most of February 2026. CBS revealed its 2026 lineup and announced season 2 resumes on Thursday, February 26.
That's why we're getting spoiled with a double dose of episodes before the midseason break. Well, that and the network has to air two episodes on Dec. 18 because there's no chance they would air a new episode on Christmas. Also, the series isn't returning until late February to avoid competition with the Winter Olympics on NBC and prevent an uneven schedule full of weeks off.
