If you're not watching The Celebrity Traitors in the UK every Wednesday and Thursday, then why not?! The beloved spinoff of the uber-successful The Traitors has indeed been channelling its various international versions in featuring some very well-known faces this time around and it has very quickly become a huge success for the BBC.
The franchise has become a staple of the broadcaster's annual schedule, and it's no surprise given that it's its biggest hit since the juggernaut that is Strictly Come Dancing (which is, ironically, also co-hosted by Claudia Winkleman). The celebrity edition is proving to be equally as thrilling, with 12 million people tuning into the premiere episode to see which of the Traitors and the Faithfuls live to fight another day.
It certainly makes the nine-episode series a thrilling watch, as fans attempt to figure out who will be the last ones standing by the time that the finale rolls around. You can imagine, then, why so many of them are upset about the reported leak which claims to know who wins.
The Celebrity Traitors' winner reportedly leaks and fans are beside themselves
The results of The Celebrity Traitors have reportedly leaked. According to The Daily Star, an insider with knowledge of the BBC show has quietly revealed to others the results of the phenomenon spinoff series. The report also claims that a lot of high profile people now know the identity of the winner and it has allegedly become quite the hot topic of conversation within the TV industry.
The BBC is reportedly doing everything it can to keep a lid on the situation as they went to a lot of effort to ensure that the results didn't leak. As you can imagine, this would be an upsetting situation for all involved. As a source told The Daily Star:
"It’s vital that key details about the series don’t get out. Everyone is hoping the leak stops telling people who wins as it could ruin the series for viewers."
And speaking of viewers, they aren't happy about the situation either. Although the results thankfully haven't spread outside of the entertainment industry as of yet, fans are on edge anticipating a much wider leak ahead of next week's series finale. Having made it this far into the series, they simply don't want to learn the results through spoilers or leaks and would, understandably, prefer to find out who wins the old-fashioned way: By watching it on TV.
One took to social media to exclaim "stop ruining it for us [ffs]!" while another simply posted an eyeroll emoji. Another claimed that leaks "expose how hollow" shows like this one.
It's no surprise that The Celebrity Traitors has generated such buzz within the entertainment industry over the past couple of weeks. The original Traitors UK series is extremely popular in and of itself, but this series has had a multitude of viral moments that have resulted in it picking up even more fanfare - largely due to its celebrity contestants like Alan Carr, Tom Daley, Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway, Charlotte Church, and Celia Imrie.
The Celebrity Traitors UK airs on BBC One on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with its finale set to air next Thursday, November 6. Here's hoping the spoilers remain off social media until that point!
