Family Guy season 24 is not coming in 2025

Peter's shenanigans will come back even funnier, I promise.
FAMILY GUY: When Meg starts dating a chicken she meets on a reality dating show, "Sex Farm", Peter disapproves of their love, prompting her to move out. Family Guy will be pushed to a later date for season 24, and that's a bummer for sure. FOX is repeating the duplicate schedule that season 23 had earlier this year. We're talking midseason 2026, around February, so we weren't lying when we said that the Seth MacFarlane comedy was coming later.

Season 23, if you ask me, pushed the modesty confines and delivered a raw and sharp edge that makes you wonder how Disney and FOX allowed the content out of the Writers Room. But then again, Family Guy is infamous for pushing the envelope and creating a stir among viewers. I'm not a writer for the show, but I know the formula and know what works, having analyzed the episodes.

But despite the schedule news, we'll be getting a pair of Hulu holiday specials to tide us over until 2026. Given their immense popularity, the streamer decided to do the deed again with Halloween and Christmas. Now, I'm more of a fan of he former, because there are no limits to the storylines and Peter winds up in one of his many shenanigans.

Per TVLine, the Halloween special will drop on Hulu and will be called "A Little Fright Music," with its synopsis stating:

"Brian and Stewie realize there is a shortage of quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit, and Peter and the guys discover that lying about trick-or-treating can have deadly consequences."

Family Guy season 24 will have Lois and Stewie understanding each other

During the Comic-Con 2025 weekend, fans were treated to a SIzzle Reel showcasing what season 24 will entail. Inside the six-minute clip, a Lord of the Rings spoof is presented with a return of Chris Griffin's season one earring and an appearance by another Animation Domination family, Bob Belcher and his group.

Peter's up to his trademark antics, so that doesn't come off as surprising, but there is an Epstein reference that we should all be aware of, as to what has been happening in the real world. But if it's out in the open, then it's highly likely that it'll be entombed in Family Guy in some way.

Then, we get Meg's usual grand scheme of things, or lack of, and Brian and Stewie collaborating on music is just the type of element that the friends would get into. But the real chunk of the Reel is between Lois and Stewie, who have a perfectly understandable conversation, with the Griffin matriarch being annoyed with her kid's childhood love of the song, "Baby Shark," and his idol, Dora.

Until October, you can catch up on season 23 and past seasons on Hulu.
