Jeffrey Dean Morgan took the remaining nine contestants in Destination X on another guessing game adventure. This time, they started off in snowy mountains, where they worked through clues to figure out where the X they were.

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Destination X season 1, episode 2.

Now that we know the rules and setup of the game thanks to the first episode of Destination X, it’s a little easier to play the guessing game from home. However, this episode was the one where we saw a few alliances form and people show their true colors.

Where in the X are they in Destination X?

There are always two questions as we get into the episodes of Destination X: where are they, and who will be eliminated? Well, the first part of the question was a little easier to guess this time. As they started up in the snowy mountains, the nine contestants were split into teams of three to fuse clues to find all the tools needed to light a fire. The first to light the fire and light their baton would get to go on a helicopter ride to see a bigger clue.

The guessing game was all linked to the location. The three had to choose the right dog, the right work of fiction, and the right famous person. In the end, nobody got all of them right, but it was Ally, Rachel, and Rick who were able to start their fire first and head out on the helicopter ride. From there, they saw the Jungfraujoch Sphinx Observatory with the Swiss flag, making it clear that the new destination is in Switzerland.

Where in the country, though? The next part of the game led to the contestants going into Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s cabin to play a bit of a game to choose people to go into the Map Room. This cabin was filled with clues, one of them being photos of Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria. Ally and Tai worked it out that this mean Jen and Eva, Geneva!

Yes, X was Geneva, Switzerland.

Who was eliminated in Destination X episode 2?

In the end, it was Rick and Kimberly who had the final say on who would head into the Map Room. They took themselves out and put Jonah and Rachel in. Rick was not happy that Rachel had implied that he had told people about the flag and turned on her and Ally, and we can’t blame him considering Ally was the one to tell Tai the big clue.

The other three to go in were already set thanks to previous contestants going inside, with Ally, Mack, and Tai all needing to make their guesses.

Ally and Tai were the only two to guess Geneva correctly. Mack and Rachel put themselves between Bern and Germany, as they both thought they were close to or in Germany still, while Jonah opted for Bern. Granted, the only reason he chose that location was because of Ally. She tricked him into thinking that that was the right location, because he genuinely had no other idea and it was clear everyone had written him off.

Sadly, Jonah was the one to be the furthest away from the correct location. Jeffrey Dean Morgan took him for a walk for fondue to learn the way of reality TV game shows. Hopefully, Jonah can come back to another game in the future and learn from this mistake.

It’s interesting that Ally has been the devious one of the lot so far, though. She is forming an alliance with Tai and a sort of alliance with Shayne, but she is playing everyone else, and that could set her up to win but it could also set her up to fail, as she’s proving herself to be untrustworthy.

Destination X airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
