The Fall TV season has officially begun with the last seven days bringing the premieres of several hit series across ABC, NBC, and FOX. Already this week alone, we’ve seen season premieres for The Voice, Brilliant Minds, Doc, and Murder in a Small Town with more premieres coming in the days ahead.
While there are many beloved shows returning for their new seasons this week including the Law & Order shows, NBC is making One Chicago fans wait a bit longer for the season premieres of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD. The bad news is that the One Chicago shows will not be back tonight, Sept. 24, but the good news is that Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD will each be returning sooner than you might expect!
When do Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD return on NBC?
One Chicago Wednesdays will officially return on October 1 as all three One Chicago shows kick off their new seasons. The night will begin with the season 11 premiere of Chicago Med at 8/7c, followed by the season 14 premiere of Chicago Fire at 9/8c, and ending with the Chicago PD season 13 premiere at 10/9c. We should then be in for a stretch of new episodes as it usually takes several weeks before the shows head into their first reruns of the seasons.
The premiere action begins with Chicago Med with an intense episode ahead. The first episode of the new season will see the Gaffney doctors treating a family injured in a house fire. That’s just one of the medical cases they’ll be working on in the episode with Lenox set to treat a pair of injured sisters at a rave turned tragedy.
Of course, no premiere is complete without a little drama and there will be plenty of that. Not only do we have the fallout of Asher’s pregnancy news awaiting us, but it seems tensions are about to rise between Goodwin and one member of the Gaffney team over some staffing changes.
Speaking of staff changes, the Chicago Fire season 14 premiere will see Firehouse 51 struggling to adjust to the newest addition, who ruffles some feathers upon his arrival. The premiere will also see rising chaos in the city which will challenge the team in new ways, and with Herrmann dealing with his own personal challenges as he faces the consequences of his decision to step down as lieutenant.
Finally, in the Chicago PD season 13 premiere, Voight is going to have to team up with an unlikely ally to help bring a killer to justice while also fighting to bring his team back together after Intelligence was disbanded in the season 12 finale.
It’s going to be an unforgettable night of TV and one that will certainly be worth the wait for the One Chicago shows on Oct. 1!
