It seems one canceled NBC series is about to get a new home, though not in the way fans might be hoping. Months after its cancellation, NBC’s hit missing-persons series Found has found a new home on Netflix.

As first reported by What’s On Netflix, Found seasons 1 and 2 will both be coming to Netflix in the new year! Fans of the canceled NBC drama can re-watch the show’s 35 episodes beginning on Friday, January 2, 2026, when both seasons of Found land on Netflix.

This will mark the first time the series will be available to stream on Netflix. The addition of Found to the Netflix catalog will give fans who watched the series during its NBC run the chance to revisit the series, while also giving the show the chance to reach a new audience through Netflix. It’s exciting news for Found fans, but news that comes a little too late in the efforts to save the show.

Sadly, Found season 3 is not happening despite renewed hope

With Netflix set to add the first two seasons of Found to its catalog in January, there has been some renewed hope among fans of the canceled series that a renewal could be imminent. Although Found will be getting a new life with the show’s first two seasons becoming available to stream on Netflix for the first time, season 3 sadly is still not happening.

Netflix has simply acquired the rights to the first two seasons of Found, with no word of any talks for a renewal for the series.

Warner Bros. fought hard to find a new home for Found after NBC opted not to renew the series for a third season, with Warner Bros. shopping the show around. After weeks of trying to find a new home for Found, Warner Bros. finally ended its efforts to save the show in July 2025.

It’s likely that while trying to save the show, Warner Bros. shopped Found to Netflix. Unlike in the past, though, when Netflix has stepped in to save hit Warner Bros. shows such as Lucifer and Manifest, Netflix did not come to Found’s rescue. Perhaps that’s why it is interesting that the streaming service has now taken interest in adding the show all these months later.

Although the odds that a third season will happen are extremely low, it’s nice to see that Found will have a chance to be enjoyed on Netflix and get a second life of sorts in the process!
