Back in early May 2025, NBC went on a brutal canceling spree, axing shows left and right. Among the casualties was a fan-favorite series that, despite its devoted following, couldn't secure the ratings the network hoped for. That show is the procedural drama Found. NBC officially gave this series the boot on May 9, and its cancellation still stings for many.

Other NBC shows that met a similar fate around the same time include The Irrational, Lopez vs. Lopez and Suits: LA. But while those series appear to be canceled with no chance of coming back, Found could still have a fighting chance. According to TVLine's CCO Matt Webb Mitovich, the procedural drama is actively being shopped around by its producers (Warner Bros. Television) in hopes of securing a new home.

While no potential networks or streamers have been named publicly, the fact that Warner Bros. Television is pursuing a new platform suggests that there is still confidence in the show’s potential. This gives fans a glimmer of hope that the story of Gabi Mosely and her team of crisis management specialists might not be over just yet. Who knows. Found could very well find the second life it deserves, especially in today’s streaming-friendly environment where shows often get a fresh start on new platforms.

Maybe NBC's streaming service, Peacock, could pick it up and give it a home. The show already streams on the platform, so transitioning Found to Peacock for new episodes would be a natural fit, keeping existing fans engaged while attracting new viewers. This move would make the most sense, but it all depends on negotiations between Warner Bros. TV, NBC, and Peacock.

Netflix is known for reviving canceled shows and giving them a new lease on life as well. For example, the streaming giant picked up canceled series such as Designated Survivor, Lucifer, Arrested Development and Girls5eva in the past. In fact, the streamer even picked up the NBC series Manifest and gave it a fourth and final season.

With Netflix having acquired an NBC show in the past, it’s certainly not out of the question that it could be interested in Found as well. The streaming giant’s track record of rescuing canceled series and giving them a fresh start makes it a strong contender. Whether it ends up on Peacock, Netflix, or another platform altogether, fans can take comfort in knowing that Found still has hope for a future beyond its initial cancellation.
