ABC's fall 2025 lineup is looking really good with the return of shows such as Dancing with the Stars, High Potential, Abbott Elementary, Grey's Anatomy, 911 and others. But one new show that's generating a ton of buzz is the 911 spinoff, 911: Nashville. Set to debut this fall, the network has just dropped the first teaser trailer, giving audiences a thrilling sneak peek and building excitement for the highly anticipated premiere.
The teaser trailer is not your typical teaser in that it doesn't actually feature any of the cast. In fact, it's fully animated. Though it lasts just 30 seconds, the visuals pack a powerful punch, delivering intense drama that perfectly sets the tone and builds excitement for what’s ahead. It also seems to hint at the show's first disaster, which we could see the emergency responders face.
911: Nashville takes place in Nashville, Tennessee, and in the teaser, we see an ABC helicopter flying over the city that's being burned by a massive, fiery tornado. Vehicles are shown swerving to avoid the path of rushing firefighters, police officers, and ambulances as they hurry to tackle the disaster and save those caught in the deadly storm. What also stands out in the teaser is that the tornado seems to be partially gathering at the local stadium. If you've ever attended a game or concert at a stadium, you know how packed and chaotic it can get.
If 911: Nashville's first crisis does end up being a fiery tornado and it takes place in a stadium setting, viewers can expect a high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled premiere. With thousands of people likely trapped or trying to escape the stadium, emergency teams will be pushed to their limits as they race against time to coordinate rescues, manage chaos, and prevent further tragedy. It would definitely be an unforgettable kickoff for the new series, and have viewers wanting to come back for more.
911: Nashville comes from Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani. It stars Chris O'Donnell (NCIS: Los Angeles, Grey's Anatomy) as Don Sharpe, a fire captain and former rodeo rider who manages a firehouse in Music City along with his son. Besides following Don's life, the show will also follow the lives of other emergency responders as they strive to keep their community safe amid the chaos of everyday crises.
Also in the cast are Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey.
911: Nashville does not have an official premiere date just yet. However, it will begin airing this fall on ABC. You can expect episodes to air on Thursdays at 9/8c.
