Is Buck about to finally rebound from Tommy? It’s certainly looking like he might finally be ready to put himself back out there, and it appears ABC may have tapped a Glee alum to reel Buck back into the dating pool.
Ahead of the 911 winter premiere on January 8, ABC has released new stills from the episode including a pair of photos featuring former Glee star Dean Geyer. There isn’t much context provided for the photos, as we see Geyer’s character sitting in what appears to be a romantic restaurant/bar setting flashing a charming smile in the direction of someone sitting across the table whose identity is kept hidden by ABC.
On their own, it would be easy to perhaps simply assume that Geyer’s character is one of the accident-of-the-week character; however, that does not seem to be the case in this instance. We know that the episode will see Buck and Ravi taking Eddie out for a night on the town, and several photos from the episode show the trio out at a nightclub together having fun.
In one of the photos, we see Eddie and Ravi standing side by side both looking off into the distance with amused faces. Eddie seems to be observing with caution, while Ravi seems to be more openly entertained and enjoying the moment. The fact that Buck is not in the photo seems to hint perhaps the duo are watching Buck take his shot with Geyer’s character, or perhaps listening to Buck overthinking whether he should strike up a conversation with Geyer’s character.
Given that he has not been actively dating since his breakup with Tommy and the death of Bobby, it would make sense that Buck would be a bit hesitant. However, fans are certainly ready to see Buck put himself back out there, and we would not complain about Buck’s rebound being played by Geyer.
Buck is certainly giving smitten vibes in various photos from the episode including the following photos that see Buck smiling infectiously during conversations with Ravi at the gym and in the locker room.
We understand that Buck is still grieving the loss of Bobby and might not be ready for a serious relationship after his split with Tommy, but we’re ready to see Buck have some fun again and throw himself into the dating pool once again. His coming out story in season 7 and accepting his bisexuality was such a pivotal moment for the character, and fans are more than ready to see more of Buck’s personal life again after it was placed on the back burner!
