The major broadcast networks certainly didn't hold back on their cancellation binge this year, and so many of them seriously hurt for us TV fans. We've had to say goodbye to so many great series' like Blue Bloods, The Cleaning Lady, Found, and so many more. There's 5 shows in particular that we think were cancelled too soon in 2025. Check them all out below.

FBI spin-offs on CBS
Despite the success and renewal of Dick Wolf's police procedural FBI, which returns for season 8 in fall 2025 on CBS, unfortunately the same cannot be said for its two spin-offs - FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. The first sequel series has come to an end after six seasons, while International only lasted for four. This was a big surprise as the OG series and franchise in general are popular amongst viewers. But unfortunately, these two shows didn't make. Even though another spin-off is coming in the midseason schedule starring Tom Ellis, CIA.
Doctor Odyssey on ABC
There's a lot of disappointing cancellations in broadcast television this year, but I think the one that may have hurt the most is Doctor Odyssey on ABC. The medical drama on the high seas only got one season. It still had so much potential and it's sort of a niche-like show that's definitely wild and entertaining. As of right now, the network claims it's not cancelled, cancelled. Just waiting on creator Ryan Murphy to bring them an idea of what could come up next in the story. However, the actors' contracts are up, meaning they can go ahead and book other work. I don't see this one likely to come back, which is such a shame.

Alert: Missing Persons Unit on Fox
Alert: Missing Persons Unit on Fox was also cancelled this year after three seasons. Overall, the procedural was another well-liked series and it's surprising that the network decided to cancel it. The season 3 finale also ends on a cliffhanger with us questioning what Wayne is up to. She had received a message from an unknown person to us viewers, and she responded that "they don't suspect a thing." Well, now we're never going to find out what it is she was up to since there's no fourth season to look forward to.

The Irrational on NBC
NBC cancelled quite a few shows this time around, but the one I think viewers are most angry about is definitely The Irrational. And I agree! The crime drama starring Jesse L. Martin certainly deserved to continue beyond two seasons. There was so much juicy drama we were left with including the fact that Rose is married and wants to open her own agency, and the biggest mystery we were left with is the fact that Alec is being stalked and followed by someone. Who is it? We'll never know. Ugh!
Night Court on NBC
Another NBC series, Night Court was cancelled following its three-season run. The comedy may not have been as big as the original '80s series, but it still wasn't bad overall. What I'm most mad about when it comes to the show's cancellation is the fact that there was a huge bombshell in the season 3 finale. It's revealed that Abby has been married this whole time! Why did she keep her husband a secret, why did he pop up now, and what is that going to do with her love life when we thought she was single? What hurts even more is that her husband is played by Simon Helberg, who was her TV husband on The Big Bang Theory as well. The plan was for him to stick around in season 4, so we're deprived of that longer onscreen reunion too.
