2 of the most popular shows on TV will finally stream on Hulu (and Peacock too!)

For those of you who are game show fans, get ready because there's some major and exciting news! After years of not having a convenient streaming option, two of the most popular shows on TV will finally get a home online for viewers to enjoy this fall. Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will begin streaming on Hulu, Disney+, and Peacock.

Sony Pictures Television, which is the production company behind both game shows, has come to a deal with the streaming companies to allow for new episodes to stream the next day they air. This is just like any other scripted and reality show right now. If you watch Grey's Anatomy on ABC or one of the One Chicago shows on NBC, you're also able to tune in the next day they air on Hulu and Peacock, respectively. Well, that option will now be available for the two game shows.

This is the first time Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will be available to stream so easily in the U.S. Before this, if you miss an episode, you miss an episode. Installments are available on the network websites for a bit, though you need your cable login credentials for that. There's also the Game Show Network which broadcasts them. But again, no real streaming option for them to live on.

Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune begin streaming this fall

This new and great multi-year change will start to take effect this fall in September 2025 when their new seasons, Jeopardy! season 42 and Wheel of Fortune season 43, air. In a press release, Chairman of Sony Pictures Television Keith Le Goy points out that the two game shows are some of the most successful in television history. The release also mentions that this move will be able to get them to a younger audience, which I'm sure ties into the continued success the companies are hoping for.

Older episodes will also become available, though it's not clear how far back that will go. It would be cool to at least get the very first episodes which is sort of a piece of history. That first episode of Jeopardy! aired March 30, 1964. As for Wheel of Fortune, it was introduced to audiences on Jan. 6, 1975.

The question and answer-ish game is hosted by former champ Ken Jennings who took on the role permanently following the passing of long-time host, Alex Trebek. Ryan Seacrest currently hosts Wheel of Fortune, taking over for Pat Sajak after he retired. Vanna White is still with the show as well. Both programs are currently still airing new episodes, wrapping up their respective seasons this summer before returning in September.
