NBC has officially unveiled its jam-packed fall 2025 TV lineup and scheduling strategy, and let’s just say, there’s a lot to talk about. From fan-favorite franchises making big returns to unexpected programming moves, the network is rolling out a bold, strategic plan.

One such surprising schedule change is the decision to delay the fall premiere of The Hunting Party season 2. The upcoming second season was supposed to take the 10 p.m. Thursday slot in the fall, but now it’s been delayed to midseason because Law & Order: Organized Crime is reportedly set to occupy that time slot.

Organized Crime, which had moved exclusively to Peacock starting with season 5, will now air that same season again on NBC in the fall. In other words, the fifth installment, which recently concluded its run on Peacock back in June, will get a second chance to capture a broader audience on the broadcast network. Peacock has not yet decided whether to renew Organized Crime for a sixth season. According to Deadline, the ratings and audience response on NBC will likely be key factors in determining whether and where the show continues.

Although a premiere date was not given for The Hunting Party season 2, it is expected to air sometime early next year. As reported by Deadline, NBC reportedly plans to utilize upcoming major sporting events, such as the Winter Olympics, Super Bowl, and the NBA All-Star Game, to help promote and build buzz for The Hunting Party season 2 when it finally premieres. We'll get back to you with the official premiere date once NBC makes that big announcement.

JJ Bailey created The Hunting Party. The first season aired on NBC from January to April 2025. The show would then go on to secure a season 2 renewal that May. It's a crime drama series starring Manifest's Melissa Roxburgh as FBI Special Agent Rebecca "Bex" Henderson. Together with a skilled team of investigators, Bex tracks down dangerous fugitives who have escaped from a secretive federal prison. Also joining Roxburgh in the cast are Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, Sara Garcia, and others.

NBC’s fall 2025 schedule also features the return of several fan-favorite series, including Brilliant Minds season 2 and The Voice season 28 on Sept. 22. Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit return with new seasons on Sept. 25, followed by Chicago Med season 11, Chicago Fire season 14 and Chicago P.D. season 13 premiering Oct 1. Sophomore comedies St. Denis Medical and Happy's Place are also set to return with second seasons in early November.
