One of CBS's best action drama shows is scheduled to return with a brand-new season this fall. We're talking about Tracker season 3, which is confirmed to start airing on the network on Oct. 19, 2025, at 8/7c. Don't forget to save the date and time!
As we head into the highly anticipated third season, we're excited to see what new cases skilled survivalist Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) will take on. He's known for using his expert tracking skills to rescue those in danger and uncover the truth, even when it means risking his own life. But with two key members of his team not returning for season 3, it'll be interesting to see how he maneuvers going forward.
Tracker season 3 cast exits
Fans can expect Tracker season 3 to look much different than previous seasons with the departure of two main cast members. Back in July 2025, news broke that series regulars Eric Graise and Abby McEnany would not be returning for the third season. Both had been on the show since its premiere, so their exits came as a complete surprise.
Graise portrayed the role of Bobby Exley, a trusted and resourceful member of Colter's team whose hacker skills helped him immensely. McEnany, on the other hand, played the role of Velma Bruin, Colter's second handler. Unfortunately, an exact reason for their departures was not given. However, Graise's exit isn't totally shocking because he had already been absent for several episodes in season 2. His character was temporarily replaced by Randy (Chris Lee), a relative who filled in with similar skills. This could've been a hint that the show was preparing for a longer-term shift in the team dynamic.
Robin Weigert, who portrayed Teddi Bruin in season 1 and did not come back for season 2, will not return for the third season either. Teddi was Colter's other handler.
Tracker season 3 cast
Of course, Hartley will return in the lead role as Colter. There wouldn't be Tracker without him. But besides him, the only other original main cast member coming back for Tracker season 3 is Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene. Rene has been a part of the cast since the first season. Her character serves as Colter’s trusted attorney, guiding him through any legal challenges he may run into.
Lee is also confirmed to reprise his role as Randy in the third season. Jensen Ackles, known for Supernatural and The Boys, will return in his role as Russell Shaw (Colter’s estranged brother) in multiple episodes of season 3, including the two-part premiere. That's exciting!
Unfortunately, these are the only actors confirmed to come back for the third installment. However, Tracker executive producer Elwood Reid mentioned in a previous interview that there will be some characters from both seasons 1 and 2 appearing in the third season as well. So, we can likely expect more familiar faces.
