It's officially the summertime, and chances are you're looking for your next binge-worthy show, trying to beat the heat by chilling on the couch, or just wanting to keep up with what everyone’s talking about. There are plenty of shows to choose from, but one NBC series stands out from the crowd.

No, it's not Happy's Place. However, that's another great show to check out if you’re in the mood for something light and fun. Reba McEntire will have you seriously laughing out loud with her perfectly timed comedic delivery! In this article, we're talking about the workplace comedy St. Denis Medical. Like Happy's Place, it's one of NBC's newest shows, and you'll be hooked from just the first episode.

St. Denis Medical is for the people who enjoy shows like The Office, Parks and Recreation and/or Abbott Elementary. It's similar to these series in that it offers a hilarious yet honest look at the ups and downs of workplace life. In this case, the hectic world of a small-town hospital.

Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer teamed up to create this series, which follows the personal and professional lives of the often overworked medical staff at the fictional St. Denis Medical Centre. These doctors and nurses strive to deliver the best care possible for their patients, even when faced with limited resources. Of course, amidst the chaos and pressure, there are also plenty of humorous and heartfelt moments. And this show wouldn't be as entertaining as it is if it weren't for the incredible cast.

The cast is made of comedy vets such as Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Alan Grier, as well as other amazingly talented actors, including Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper, and Kaliko Kauahi. What's so great is that everyone in the cast meshes well, which makes the chemistry on screen feel natural and effortless.

There has been only one season so far of this workplace comedy, but the good news is that it has already been renewed for a second installment. In fact, St. Denis Medical is set to return with its second season this fall. Unfortunately, an exact premiere date has not been announced yet, but a release month has been confirmed. St. Denis Medical season 2 is confirmed to premiere on NBC sometime in November 2025. New episodes will air on Mondays. We'll get back to you with the official premiere date once the network makes the big announcement.

November is far off from now, so you have plenty of time to binge-watch the 18-episode first season before the new installment comes out. You can currently watch the entire first season of the show on the official NBC website for free. However, there will be ads placed throughout the episodes. You also have the option to stream the first season on Peacock with a subscription. It's up to you!
