The Golden Bachelor season 2 is flying! We are already halfway through and it feels as though it has barely begun. Season 2, episode 4 had a lot to love. We’re really seeing more of the women’s personalities, as well as getting to know our lead, Mel Owens, better.

The episode started off on a wonderful note, with Peg riding a unicycle (!) around outside the mansion. What a gem Peg is. My favorite part of each episode is watching the women just hang around the house with each other.

Let’s get to the best and worst moments of episode 4 of The Golden Bachelor!

Best moment: Nicolle is just the gift that keeps on giving.

Nicolle is one of the many women chosen to go to Butterfly Mountain, and she really is the shining star of the episode, intentionally or not!

She and Mel spend some time together, and Mel asks her an interview question: where do you see yourself in five years? This is where things really get hilarious.

I kind of loved how Nicolle answered this question. She starts off by addressing her finances, explaining that her dad is her accountant, and says she could use more income, then goes on to imply how this show could lead to that.

Nicolle also says she wants to gain more Instagram followers to enliven her career path after this show. I loved this because yes, it was awkward, but it was also very charming how Nicolle didn’t realize how this came off.

The number one thing you don’t talk about on The Bachelor (or in this case, The Golden Bachelor) is followers! But I love that Nicolle doesn’t know that! At least she’s being honest about it!

Hearing her talk about the cookbook she wants to write (full of plant/based recipes!) was also very innocent and hilarious. She clearly didn’t realize how much viewers would likely judge her for this whole thing.

She also said, “Give me a kiss just for the camera.” Hahaha. Delightful.

Worst moment: Nicolle goes home

Sadly, Mel sends Nicolle home at the end of the Rose Ceremony. I just hate to say goodbye to someone so entertaining!

Despite being sad to see her go, I did find their goodbye hilarious. She tells him to call her if it doesn’t work out with the one he picks.

Hahaha. Goodbye, Nicolle. Hope to see you again on this franchise!
