Alden Parker seemingly won't catch Carla Marino during the first episode of NCIS season 23

At the end of NCIS's season 22, Alden Parker seemed poised to meet his untimely demise. Tricked by Carla Marino, Parker was completely exposed, and all his enemy needed to do to take his life was to pull a trigger. With him completely at her mercy, it didn't seem to make any sense when it became clear that Parker's life had been spared even after his enemy revealed that she held him responsible for the death of her son. Then, it became clear that Carla decided to get vengeance in another way when the viewers realized that Parker's father had been killed and there was a wine glass at the scene with lipstick on it that was her color.

After that stunning series of events, every fan knew that Parker would be consumed with the idea of bringing Carla to justice, or worse. Despite that, promotional material that has been released for NCIS season 23 has seemingly confirmed that Parker won't catch his enemy at least during the season's premiere episode.

A photo for the second episode of the season reveals that Carla is still in the wind, hinting that fans will have to wait until at least the conclusion of the 2-part premiere to see Parker get justice.
