We're just days away from the Age of Attraction finale dropping on Netflix, but everyone online is talking about Nick Viall, the co-host of Age of Attraction, for some other reasons regarding Bachelor Nation and Taylor Frankie Paul.

A clip from the Sept. 11, 2025, episode of The Viall Files podcast is going viral after the situation with Frankie Paul developed at the end of last week and ABC pulled her season of The Bachelorette from the schedule just days before the premiere.

In the clip, which was released one day after Frankie Paul was cast as the lead of the series, Viall basically takes credit for Frankie Paul getting cast.

"Well, it's happened. Taylor Frankie Paul is your next Bachelorette," Viall said. "You're welcome, Bachelor Nation. You're welcome, ABC."

When Nick was informed that his haters believe he had an inside scoop from ABC, Nick had an interesting response, and that's what those sharing the viral clip are clinging to right now.

"It was literally my idea three months ago," Viall continues. "I gave them the idea. I am the source."

You can watch the clip in full on the episode of The Viall Files. Viall's comments are in the first few minutes of the episode.

Take a spin on Instagram and TikTok, and you'll see many fans and haters of Viall dunking on him or the comment about giving ABC the idea to cast Frankie Paul as the lead of The Bachelorette. He, himself, thought it was a great idea.

For those who are out of the loop, ABC canceled Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette before it premiered after TMZ released a video of Frankie Paul assaulting and throwing chairs at her ex, Dakota Mortensen. Frankie Paul was charged and pleaded guilty to aggravated assault almost two years before she was cast as the lead of The Bachelorette.

I don't know if it's ever been confirmed that it was actually Viall's idea for Frankie Paul to be cast in The Bachelorette. He's very tapped into that world, though, after two seasons on the series, another on The Bachelor, and another on Bachelor in Paradise. He's also very much in the reality TV space with his podcast, interviewing cast members from a number of popular shows like Love is Blind. As mentioned, he's also the co-host of Age of Attraction.

There's a lot of nuance to this situation, and while this is not a good look for Viall with everything that has happened, I don't know that it's necessarily proof that he should be blamed at all for what has transpired. Obviously, he tried to take all the credit six months ago, but did he know about everything that happened with Frankie Paul and the aggravated assault case from 2023?

Taylor Frankie Paul mentions Nick's support on Instagram in deleted comment

So far, it doesn't appear Viall has commented on the situation yet, but Frankie Paul has commented on his support for her after her season was canceled.

According to a report from Parade, Frankie Paul commented on one of the many videos of the clip from The Viall Files going around social media "Nick is my hype guy." This post came from @shesallbach.

Look, that's a very weird thing to say with everything going on. Frankie Paul has since deleted the comment.

While The Bachelorette season is already over, this story is not. There is still so much fallout yet to happen or be made public. It's hard to imagine the franchise will continue after this, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Stay tuned for more news about The Bachelorette and Age of Attraction. The finale drops on Wednesday, March 25, on Netflix.
