The Netflix releases for September 2025 are out, and there’s a show that we’ve been waiting for years to come to streaming. It’s all about a series that ABC initially ran, only to cancel for it to land in a new home to wrap up the story.
Move over 911: Nashville. September is going to be all about Nashville, the country music series that followed the lives of those in the business. Think of it as like Empire, but for country music stars. And yes, it’s finally coming to Netflix.

When is Nashville coming to Netflix?
All six seasons of Nashville will arrive on Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 15. That’s 124 episodes for you to binge-watch, and what a ride you’re in for. If you haven’t watched the show yet, then you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the music and the drama. This is one show that has a soundtrack I still listen to regularly.
Have you watched it before? Then you know why it’s so exciting that it’s coming to Netflix for the first time. The story brought us into the hearts of country music performers to understand just why the music means so much to so many.
Up to this point, Nashville has aired on Hulu, but it was surprisingly pulled from the streaming platform last month. Naturally, there was a lot of confusion about that, but fortunately, it’s found a new streaming home, and the middle of September isn’t too long to wait.
We just don’t know how long it will stream. A lot of times, we see shows stream for a year or two, and sometimes up to three years, giving you time to binge-watch a couple of times.

What is Nashville about?
If you did happen to miss the series, Nashville is a must for fans of Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, and Jonathan Jackson. It follows a group of country music stars, some of them who have already hit it big and others who are trying to get their careers off the ground.
The initial focus is on Britton’s Rayna Jaymes, once a major country star who is slowly being overshadowed by the younger Juliette Barnes, played by Panettiere. The two go head-to-head, as Britton attempts to keep her star shining and Barnes proves that with stardom comes expectations and an ego.
However, the stories do move on to other characters. We get to see Gunnar Scott (Palladio) and Scarlett O’Connor (Clare Bowen) figure out how to make a career out of singing. When Chris Carmack’s Will Lexington moves to Nashville to start his career, things take a turn, as it turns out he has a few hidden secrets in a town that won’t easily accept him.
Nashville ran for four seasons on ABC before being abruptly canceled in May 2016. However, CMT knew that couldn’t happen, and it ran for another two seasons, giving storylines a chance to come to a close, even if there were some bittersweet moments along the way.
Nashville will come to Netflix on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
