ABC’s The Golden Bachelor aired its first season from September to November 2023. It followed retired restaurateur Gerry Turner as he won over audiences while courting a group of wonderful women in search of a second chance at love.
Now, the hit dating reality series is finally scheduled to return with its second season tonight. In this brand-new installment, we'll get to meet all the new hopeful contestants ready to charm the new Golden Bachelor and compete for his heart. The new lead is former NFL player Mel Owens, who is pictured right below.
Owens was born on Dec. 7, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. He is currently 66 years old and hopes to find love again after previously being married once. In addition, he has two sons with his ex-wife. As mentioned above, Owens is a former professional football player. He played for the Los Angeles Rams in the 1980s and is currently a sports lawyer.
When does The Golden Bachelor season 2 premiere?
The Golden Bachelor season 2 is set to premiere on ABC on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, with two back-to-back episodes. The first episode will air at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT, and the second episode will air at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT. However, things change going forward. After the premiere, only one new episode will air every Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT. Each episode will be available to stream on Hulu the following day for those who want to catch up.
