When Josh told Wolf that he was seeing someone else on Brilliant Minds, our hearts broke. Then we learned that it was Josh rekindling an old relationship, and it was serious.
Now, yes, Wolf stepped back after that and respected Josh’s decisions, but it still broke our hearts. And it’s easy to want to hate the man whom Josh is currently dating, as it causes problems for our favorite ‘ship, but this guy doesn’t sound like someone we will be able to dislike.

Brilliant Minds finds its love interest for Josh
According to TV Insider, Brilliant Minds is putting a name and a face to the love interest. Marco Pigossi will join the series as Dr. Beau Pedrosa, and we even get a few details about who he is and why Josh likes him so much.
It turns out that Dr. Pedrosa used to work at Bronx General. He’s a neurosurgeon (so a lot in common with Josh), but we don’t get to know why he left Bronx General in the first place. Was leaving the hospital the reason for the two breaking up, or did the break-up lead to him leaving the hospital? There are so many questions already.
Well, it turns out that Wolf may end up finding it hard to hate on the guy, just like us. He genuinely cares about his patients, and it’s clear that Josh has a type when it comes to the men he dates. Well, genuinely caring about patients is what Wolf is all about, so that’s one thing he has to like about this guy.
The description goes on to say that Pedrosa and Wolf have more in common with each other. This is more than the genuine care for patients, but there are no teasers about what that is.

When will Marco Pigossi join Brilliant Minds?
We won’t have to wait too long to meet Beau. Pigossi will join the series during the 12th episode of the season. That’s going to air on Monday, Jan. 12, just a week after the series returns from its winter break.
Right now, there are a lot of questions about what to expect when the show returns. The Brilliant Minds season 2 fall finale left with Michelle’s life on the line. She was in a car accident on the way to the gala, and Van doesn’t know just yet. Once he does, he’s going to likely race to the hospital, but will his mirror-touch help with any sort of diagnosis?
Then there’s Wolf, who learned that Charlie is the son of the patient who haunts him. However, Charlie isn’t just there to make Wolf feel bad. He wants revenge, and that seems to involve trying to reunite father and son, as he gave Wolf an address for Noah. We didn’t get to see who was in that house, though, and whatever the outcome, Wolf is likely to need as many people in his corner as possible. Bringing in Josh’s current love interest likely isn’t going to help with that.
Brilliant Minds returns on Monday, Jan. 5 at 10/9c on NBC.
