When one of our favorite celebs jokes about something, we take it very seriously because we definitely want it to happen! Dancing with the Stars is a fun way to see some of those faves come out and either learn something new, do something that's a bit out of their comfort zone, or improve their dance skills while having fun. And recently, a Marvel star joked about joining DWTS but that is not making us laugh. We take these things very seriously!
Promoting his upcoming Stephen King movie The Life of Chuck, the one and only Tom Hiddleston talked to Parade about the film. In it, he plays the titular character who goes through a difficult life but finds a beacon of hope to get through it all through dance. Because of that, the news outlet asked whether he'd join the ABC competition series in the upcoming season this fall. And the actor's answer is not what we expected:
“Yes, it’s in the mix. I love dancing. I danced a little bit in some productions in the theater, but I’ve never danced this kind — with this freedom and precision and agility and technique.”
We definitely want Tom Hiddleston to join Dancing With the Stars
Um, so is it really possible that Hiddleston is going to be in the cast of Dancing With the Stars season 34 this fall on ABC? That's only a few months away! The show has not announced its cast yet and based on the Marvel actor's comments, I guess it can be likely. This is no laughing matter at all! Activate fangirl mode.
I would love to see Hiddleston get his dancing shoes on and make his way into the iconic ballroom. How fun would that be? What also gives him a further connection into DWTS is the fact that the choreographer in his latest movie, Mandy Moore, has worked on Dancing With the Stars. So maybe she could be his way in? Though I'm sure if someone like Hiddleston is interested in joining the show, the producers wouldn't turn him away.
The actor became a household name and officially a part of the MCU thanks to his role as Loki in the Thor movie. He went on to reprise his role in more of the Marvel films including The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Endgame, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the television series Loki. You can't see much of his moves in the The Life of Chuck trailer, though there is a glimpse of them if you want to check it out in the video below. Let's hope this actually happens because now as a fan, I need it to!
