Dancing with the Stars might not be returning until this fall for its 35th season, but fans could be getting some exciting news about the upcoming season in less than 48 hours!

On Wednesday, April 22, Disney will be hosting the second annual Hulu’s Get Real House event, which will once again be used to bring fans major announcements, exclusive first looks, and surprising moments. Among the titles expected to be featured at the event is Dancing with the Stars, which had a large presence at the inaugural Hulu’s Get Real House event in 2025.

Fans will recall that ABC used the event to announce the first member of the season 34 cast during the live event when it was revealed Robert Irwin would be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy. (Irwin would eventually go on to win the Mirrorball when the season rolled around in the fall.) It’s expected that ABC will once again be using the Get Real House event to announce the first additions to the Dancing with the Stars season 35 cast; that’s right, we said additions.

There is a growing expectation that ABC might announce the first two members of the season 35 cast, and there is speculation circulating that two members of the most recent season of The Traitors might be among them. Rumors suggest that ABC had cast season 4 winner Rob Rausch and runner-up Maura Higgins to compete on the upcoming season of the long-running reality competition series.

The pair won over the viewers during the latest season of Peacock’s Emmy-winning series, and it seems that ABC certainly took notice. Should Rob and Maura indeed compete together on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, this would mark the first time the cast will feature two Traitors alum competing in the same season.

The Traitors has become a go-to source for ABC’s casting team, with several of the show’s breakout players landing places on the Dancing with the Stars cast following their time on the Peacock hit. Just last season we saw Dylan Efron follow up his breakout turn on The Traitors by competing as part of season 34, and the year before we saw Phaedra Parks compete after her time on The Traitors season 2.

It’ll be interesting to see if Rob and Maura indeed are announced as the first members of the season 35 cast during Hulu’s Get Real House event. Even if that rumor does not prove to be true, Dancing with the Stars fans can still expect some announcement at the event, which will be live-streamed on Hulu beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on April 22!
